Zoro is really just useless character aim to get people to watch one piece at the start and to make money for oda through sword and earrings merch.

Zoro doesnt have any narrative agency that will make him contribute anything of substance to the story.

It is kinda sad, most of OP fans are Zoro fans who arent ready for the huge disappointment coming to them.

His job is swordsman. His role, since the start until final saga, is to fight. And Oda did a good job doing it. TOEI is superb too in emphasize & expand this.

Well, his dream is to be WSS. He doesn't care about PK title. His dream was always stated to be below PK.

Nika is shown with sword and shield.

Zoro is the quintessence swordsman, growing extra swords out of nowhere.
Sanji is developing an indestructible exoskeleton.

Luffy's entire character arc during the first half of the story is him realizing that he needs his nakama to accomplish his dream. Emphasis is put during the latter half on Luffy's wings.

Brainless fans: "Nope, the SHs have no role to play, hurr-durr."
