Every arc has some form of tension, egghead isn't going to be an exception. The SHs are a yonko crew, but the main antagonist is CP0. How will Oda create tension from this when we all know that the SHs are stronger than them?

Probably by preventing the SHs from facing them. My guess, Vegapunk has already realized the weapon that Imu possesses. He will let the SHs know that if the WG were to find out that they are on egghead, they will nuke the island and they will all die. Therefore, they cannot be discovered by CP0 at all costs. We'll also probably learn that the reason the gorosei couldn't use the nuke on wano is something due to Pluton.

Something will happen, Bonney will get caught. In order to save Bonney, Luffy will reveal himself and fight Lucci and the others. The WG will be alerted to the SHs location and employ the nuke. Then in the last second, Kuma will show up and save everyone.

This is kinda sorta how Oda writes his arcs.

The real reason (as I see it) behind having BB vs law running parallel to vp arc is DF lore dump.

BB is an anomaly when it comes to df rules so quite a fit when we will get df lore

The tension probably more along the lines of how many vegapunks can they kill. I believe Sanji, Zoro or even Jimbei can solo CP0.

Serakuma to me is probably the only thing I'm worried about in terms of Straw hat tension.

Oda most times starts with Secondary Villain & then introduce far more Dangerous Foe

... etc

So now we have Lucci to start tension then Major Villain shows up

It's either Imu, Mihawk, Vander or Elbaf King/Loki

You'd be a fool to think that he's not going to upgrade a character that was hyped to the moon and back during preskip, even by the Vice Admirals.

As for CP0, seeing how Oda hyped Crocodile when he came back with 1.9 Billion, I have no doubt that Lucci will get a big upgrade as well, I don't expect him to beat Gear 5 Luffy but he will look good at least.

It would make more sense for Imu to nuke the island where BB vs Law is happening, that way he takes out BB(a big threat to the WG) and Law(Ope-Ope user who can perform the immortality surgery), but what you said is more likely to happen. I just hope Imu doesn't get clowned.

Guess it all depends on how long Oda plans on making the arc.

I wouldn't mind if we saw a Seraphim of an old Legendary Pirate. Perhaps even a Xebec Seraphim. Hell, maybe Weevil will finally show up. For as goofy as he is, to be hyped by Kizaru says a lot about his strength.

WCI and Wano was like eight years back to back of “oh my god, this is the greatest foe the Strawhats have ever faced, how can they ever win” etc etc.

I’m happy for Egghead to continue as is. Some lore bombs, develop Vegapunk, Bonney and the RA, Blackbeard vs Law hovering in the background and then a bit of action with Lucci. Throw in Smoker and I’m a happy man.
