Karasu is a member of the Revolutionary Army and is the commander of the Northern Army. Not much is known about him, but his name is カラス(Karasu), which means "crow".
Crows have a lot of symbolism in most of the literature, but mainly as a symbol of tragedy and death, even though the crows aren't mainly responsible for the tragedy or death, they are always there to eat the dead bodies.
