The Last Airbender (2024 Series)

The Mechanist plotline was something I disliked even in the animated show, and here it's even more annyoing and disjointed. Why combine it with Omashu?
Zuko and Zhao working together? What?
On the topic of Zhao, I don't feel his actor at all.
The mechanist just being a traitor out in the open, and the subsequent chase scene are reaaaaaalllyyyy bad. Good Lord lmaoo
The fight coreography so far was a let down
Holy fck this sounds like pure garbage I can't even
If they wanna write their own story why don't they create their own intellectual property instead of appropriating the work of other people?

Same reason why they keep rebooting or making unnecessary sequels to old stuff. They want to cash-in on the brand recognition of a popular intellectual property instead of making something new for themselves because they know their crappy stories will fail unless they have a popular brand name attached to them.

Heaven forbid they actually try writing better stories and leaving old stuff to rest in peace with their dignities intact.

outside of One Piece's Live Action staying true to Oda's requests (and constant supervision), almost everything else has been a disaster (Hunter X Hunter isn't bad but is way too short).

The only 'adaptation' I would genuinely consider at this point is an anime adaptation of ATLA with a reputable japanese animation studio + bringing back the original english dub cast, I've completely given up on live actions, especially for Avatar The Last Airbender

Bruh, Roku is still in the show. That Kyoshi scene is from Kyoshi island

Watched one episode, didn’t really like it tbh. ATLA is one of my fav shows, and frankly speaking, the more LA adaptations I see, the less hope I feel.
I mean, it’s not incredibly horrible, but if this was the original show, I’d probably watch and forget it, unlike the actual animated series that I rewatch from time to time and it still brings a smile on my face.

if I were to compare it to OP LA, I need to give the edge to OP.

@Yoho , you’re not alone in your zutarianship, I fully support it as well, I mean creators do what they wanna do, but ZuTara made more sense to me as well.

Bruh yesterday on the train I saw a guy watch the Nightmares and daydreams episode on his phone. So happy that the kids these days still watch the animated show

I have seen just some clips of it but it seems good, even very good, vlunlike the movie it captured the ATLA spirit pretty well, a lot of actors are a good match for their character (but not everyone, or at least it is claimed this much). At the very least it should be way better than the movie.

It ia better than the movie, but the original show is still a lot more captivating.

Yeah, so glad more people pay attention to it, even though Netflix labeled ATLA as "retro series"

Being better than the movie is not hard

I mean they've spent years on new secondary avatar content and re runs to prepare the audience for the new LA adaption. If anything it brought more attention to the animated series and that's already a W
Many kids of today that may have never seen the cartoon are watching it now because of the la
