🤔🤔🤔 hard to say the Kuma flashback was pretty good especially when his dad got popped in the middle of the Nika dance 🕺

🤔 tho this flashback which has basically been a flashback within a flashback within a flashback has been fun as hell as well, and it definitely revealed a lot more lore wise and I prefer both rocks and Harald as characters over Kuma thats coming from a prolific giant despiser

Hmmmm yeah this Loki/Harald/Xebec flashback is definitely better than Kuma's

No you shut up lol, one is an emotional journey and the other is hype. I get you’re a hype beast and all but you cant compare them.
Is the current flashback not an emotional journey

A mother abandoning her child for being ugly?

A child feeling unwanted and unloved and then taking it out on the other children

Harald who is trying to change how the world sees the giants and showcase the giants in a more positive light

A son who has a plethora of power but no one ever showed him true love and he never felt like he belonged

The other who is surrounded by support from friends and family despite being technically a bastard child but lacks the strength to truly protect the ones he cares about

While Kuma's flashback may pull at the heart strings of some i think the Loharbec flash back has done a great job balancing emotional moments, with hype and lore reveals

Too early to say, but this flashback is definitely a million times important when it comes to the overall story instead of just specific characters, I'm also a gigafan of Rocks and BB, so I prefer it so far.

As good as the Kuma flashback is, it's pretty much Kuma and Bonney character specific filler, Rocks Flashback is much more important.

Rocks had like 2 chapters and he's already so much cooler than Roger could ever hope to be, says a lot about how good the flashback is and how much Roger sucks.

Loger somehow has less aura than Gaban and Rayleigh I don’t even know how this is possible

I'm going to wait until the flashback is over before I judge, but so far the Loki flashback has been really enjoyable.

Depending how the rest of the flashback plays out, I do think it could surpass the Kuma flashback, however I still think the Kuma flashback will still be a bit more better in terms of the emotional moments.

The main difference between between Kuma's flashback and Loki's flashback, is that Kuma's flashback was more focused on Kuma and Bonney's story, while the Loki flashback seems to not only be focused on Loki but also Harald and Xebec as well.

Regardless who cares which is better, at the end of the day, they are both way better than the Oden and Kaido flashback lol.

It has some emotional moments, but it still doesn't compare to the emotional moments from the Kuma flashback.

The stuff you mentioned is nothing compared to:
Being enslaved by the World Nobles as a kid
Finding out your mom was killed
Seeing your dad shot in front of you
Your close friend that you grew up with was kidnapped, held hostage, raped, and then later on died
And finally having to sacrifice your mind and being forced to not see your adopted daughter anymore

Kuma's flashback is more emotional and more darker, and while the Loki flashback does have certain emotional moments, it is so far more focused on the lore and hype.

Now could the Loki flashback have more emotional moments that could surpass the emotional moments from the Kuma flashback? Maybe but we will have to wait and see.

It was just OK until Xebec showed up. A sad but not out of the ordinary One Piece backstory of shitty upbringing. Xebec himself has been amazing not only for what he's doing lore and worldbuilding wise, but because he's like throwing an agenda molotov in the middle of one piece agenda posters lmao. So many people already overreacting and changing their agendas on like 2 chapters, it's hilarious. I've enjoyed the meltdowns. But like I said, the first half of the flashback wasn't anything special.

Kuma's flashback was more centrally coherent on Kuma rather than jumping between 4 different fucking perspectives, but I accuse it of being tearbait. You have this great emotional setup for him, he arrives at Egghead and absolutely smashes Saturn to rescue Bonney......all for it to do 0 damage because lolregen, and Oda's need to make fucking everything about CoC now so he had to wait until Gaban's reveal to introduce a way to hurt him. Then turned Kuma into an obsolete deadweight for the remainder of the arc. So silly. It reduced a lot the flashback's purpose to just implicit Nika wank (sans the GV intro). Still emotionally awesome, and introduced lots of great lore, but I definitely soured on it because of the post-flashback result.

Kuma's flashback has the edge imo (mostly a product of it being complete), but it's not that distant. Gaban's Loki's Harald's Xebec's flashback can overtake it with a few more good ones.
