Nah, Marco didn’t win that fight/ clash. He managed to successfully clash with her and not get blown away or got negged immediately but he sure didn’t win. We can see that their clash was more of their DF clashing with each other. Marco’s blue flames Vs Big Mom’s actual Fire Flame (Prometheus). And somehow blue flame was countering the fire flame. The moment things went to the hand to hand combat, Big Mom grabber Marco by his neck while Marco could do nothing but fear of what is to come. I’m not downplaying Marco here though. Dude fought against the 2 DF Teach and lived. He also managed to clash with all 3 admirals. He had to get nerfed in his fight against admirals for him to get actually hurt.
The reason why Big Mom asked Peros to finish him off is just to let Peros shine or have his moment. Peros has formed an alliance with Marco and Big Mom wanted it to end it all right there and then. She might have feared on Peros going behind her back and scheming against her. She was showing Peros the way it is done. Big Mom didn’t run away or postponed, she just had better things to do. Why would she waste her time on Marco who had nothing to do with this war. She only clashed with him cause he was standing in her way. And as soon as he was out of it, she went back to join the war.
It would be a whole different discussion if her and Marco met at Onigashima war and she still chooses to avoid him.

Well it is not a coincidence that Smiley ate an axolotl devil fruit (why an axolotl devil fruit of all things lol) because Axolotl salamanders are masters of regeneration where they can regrow entire body limbs back together. Smiley having an axolotl devil fruit and the regneration aspect was not even highlighted because Smiley just died, then the fruit recycled into a nearby tree. Axoloitl salamanders are the only animal that can regrow and regenerate body limbs, so Vergo will be like Marco with a regenerative ability 2.0 :kata:

Which he can then use for stealth to sneak Doffy out of prison, he might even help Scrabo and the others.

Because Marco having a Devil fruit advantage over Big Mom is really not much different than Ace and Aokiji having equal Devil Fruits at Marineford. Aokiji was of a higher power level than Ace but Ace could still clash with him equally. That equal clash doesn’t prove Ace = Aokiji or Ace > Aokiji.

No, it’s the implications of this:


You see, people downplay Kizaru because he, and I quote, “needed Onigumo with sea stone to gain an advantage over Marco” despite Marco not having any ability to damage kizaru whatsoever while kizaru could in fact damage Marco, nor did Kizaru ever ask for Onigumo’s interference in the first place.

But when Big Mom actively asks Perospero to intervene in her fight while never demonstrating the ability to injure Marco whatsoever after he clashes equally with her and defeating her Homies, people say Big Mom was moments away from defeating Marco? Lmfao

Kizaru openly mocked Marco’s attacks, and Marco himself acknowledged the fact that Kizaru was too strong to be injured by his kicks. And this was after Kizaru turned Marco into a cheese grater and forced him to heal.

Big Mom however seemed to be completely incapable of dealing with Marco. He clashes with her evenly, seemingly defeats two of her Homies, then her only option is to grab him and ask Perospero to finish him, and then run away while openly stating she no longer has the tools to deal with Marco because Marco himself broke those tools?



Where is the massive power gap here? Big Mom herself is saying that specific conditions need to be met for her to defeat Marco, and Marco was the one who eliminated those specific conditions himself. When she had him at her mercy in a chokehold, she didn’t attack him or try to defeat him, she told Perospero to do it, highly implying that she was powerless to defeat Marco herself.

People fool themselves into thinking their is a massive power gap between YC1 and Yonko despite the myriad of occasions that Yonko themselves have shown fear of their own YC1s, been humiliated by YC1s, failed to show any decisive advantage over them, etc. and this just adds to the fact that fans are completely wrong about the Yonko and their power level. The Yonko, if they are even above their own YC1, it’s a high or extreme diff fight.

I have not once mentioned the admirals prior to this post, and it’s kind of frustrating that I have to type this again when you admitted on page 1 that you didn’t even read the OP because you perceive me as too biased to even read something I typed, but I hope you’ll read this because Big Mom genuinely looks inferior to Marco here.

The fact that she could grab him like that does indicate something
Ulti only got a chance on luffy because Luffy was distracted hitting Page 1. BM just outright grabbed him.

She couldn’t finish or defeat him, or else she wouldn’t have asked Perospero to do it for her.

And she outright admitted that she needs souls to fight Marco, and Marco can destroy the souls that she needs to fight on par with Marco lol. So in other words, she is only capable of fighting evenly with Marco if Marco doesn’t destroy her Homies. Which Marco can do on accident.
