The Giant Pirates were one of the worst things to happen to Egghead. It's already annoying enough how Dorry and Brogy were laughing like hyenas the entire arc and killing all the tension, but the Marine fleet of 30,000 with 100 battleships couldn't even scratch any of the fodder giants. The only giants damaged were that one that Venus slashed, and Kashi took a little bit of damage from Doll's punch.

I’m mainly talking about the 30,000 strong Marine fleet who hardly even attempted to return fire on the giants. Did a single cannonball even hit their giant ass ship?

The wood for such a massive ship is probably much stronger then the more normal wood for Marine ships.

The Buster Call cannons are supposed to be ridiculously dangerous as seen in Ennies Lobby when 1 shot from a ship not even visible toppled the entire Tower of Justice.

Of course, if they retained their efficacy the Strawhats wouldn’t be able to escape. It’s really just that simple.
Such levels of plot armour shouldn’t be a surprise at this point.

If anything giants have been frauds dorry and brogy aside. Given that VA's on average themselves are mid , the fact Kashi got negged by doll shows they are mid.

And these giants are not average giants but legendary giants.
