Seems like the most controversial opinion to have around here is that ALL powerscaling is futile and totally subjective, and you’re wasting your time arguing pointless bullshit when you could just enjoy the series for what it actually is - a fun story about wacky characters smashing the oppressive political machine and eating magical fruits so they can beat the shit out of each other.

How could you deem as futile and totally subjective a debate in which someone brings up megaton calculations to support that an attack is mountain or island level without first providing a reason why such hierarchy is even a valid measure, or checks each pixel of a panel to establish the size of a thing drawn by a guy who can't be size consistent even between pages? Are you seriously saying that all of those respectful intellectuals are wasting their time? Impossible!

Mihawk downplay largely a result of this. that means the Mihawk debates are part Sanji fans, part Shanks wankers and part Luffy wankers fault.

its purely on Sanji fans though. as they can not accept defeat and keep pressing the issue.
