The outcome of the fight should not be controversial, Zoro always was and always will be the guy right after Luffy and Sanji is always going to be the guy after Zoro. I guess the controversial thing is the distance between them? Honestly I think, Thriller Bark answered everything about Zoro vs Sanji. When Luffy was down the one to fight Kuma was Zoro for the most part Sanji only came in when Zoro was in trouble, the rest of the crew didnt do anything. Ultimately they werent able to beat Kuma but 2 things were finally confirmed Zoro and Sanji are much stronger than the rest of the crew and Zoro is above Sanji. Oda putting only Sanji in those scenes with Kuma. Tells us Out of all of luffys crewmates Sanji is the only one that Zoro cant Low Diff or defeat easily. That leaves us with Mid diff and High diff. With all the arguments/ and rivalry behavior of the two that Oda constantly does High diff sounds reasonable, But Mid diff also makes sense too in terms of the Characters roles/ motivation.

Well, I'll say Enies Lobby made the distance clearer. Lucci's PL was 4000 IIRC. Kaku's was 2200 and Jabra's was 2180. That for me already established the power level gap between these characters for me. I think Luffy's and Zoro's gap should be a little less but other than that this is what I believe will almost always be the power gap ratios between them. Sanji's still my favourite thou, lol.
Never thought Yonko vs Admirals was controversial , i always thought most ppl think 1 Yonko > 1 Admiral
Zoro vs Sanji if we want to be realistic ain't controversial either it's always been Zoro > Sanji
The things that we lack context on are the ones most controversial imo so :
- Legit how Mihawk stands in the OP verse cause other characters who had the warlord statut aren't as strong (or at least we think) as him , he's overall a very mysterious figure to rank
- How relevant Dragon is
- How strong the old guard are rn (Rayleigh/Garp/Sengoku etc)

Yea Zoro being a little closer to Luffy makes sense in terms of what his goal is and its how one piece started. Whenever Sanji joined the crew it was clear Zoro was closer to Luffy In terms of power, but Sanji wasnt that far off from the 2. From East Blue to Water 7 , Oda blatantly portrays Zoro closer to Luffy on multiple occasions. Which is probably how Odas structure always was. In databooks /vivre cards ext..... it always says things like Zoro is only behind the captain and Sanji is also very strong. Giving the impression he wants the audience to know Zoro is right behind Luffy but he also wants the audience to know Sanji is strong in his own right.

Mihawk powerlevel is the most controversial imo. I always rethink twice where I have to put Mihawk in tier list. Other top tiers have portrayal to be one of the strongest but so does Mihawk title.
So I always avoid thread about Mihawk vs thread until Oda shows how Mihawk got WSS title and his full power.
