Never said he needed to be polite, but kind. Since the whole arc is about how kind he is but his family is not. At the end Sanji is the one not kind and his family is the kind one.
One Piece is a battle manga it has to have battles. Everyone in the crew is a fighter even Nami, Usopp and Chopper. Sanji fought in his first character arc aka introduction why wouldn't he fought here? He fight every arc but unfortunately his post timeskip fights just suck and we never had oportunity to see his full potential until stupid power ups. What is the point of a power up if the character never reached his limit?
And Sanji accomplishes nothing from cooking at WCI.
Why the hell you brought Zoro into this? Zoro did much more them simply saving Supernovas. Sanji didn't needed to help Big Mom at all. That worked for nothing, at the end she still pursuit them and Jinbei had to save them again. Not Sanji.

I decided to answer this alone.
Sanji REJECT his gene modification because he could lose his humanity. He DESTROYED his Raid Suit because of it. He gave 0 fuck to what his crew needed which was a strong fighter at the moment because he was afraid of losing control. His entire actions and dialogue makes no fucking sense. He enjoed use Raid Suit right when he used for the first time.
Sanji has no motivation at all but women for gag purposes. Oda even killed his gentleman side by saying he wanted to hit Black Maria. This was as shit as Zoro saying he would bite King if he had too. At least Zoro is capable of give up his dream for his captain. Sanji is not capable of hitting women for his captain.

Please , just open one threads and ask people : Is one piece battle manga :) If one piece had been battle manga, this manga should have finished ten years ago :)
Everyone in the crew can be fighter but this is side feature. Every crew members know how to fight but main role is different thing . They have to fight in some condition to come true their dreams.
Sanjis first introduction was at barathie. Remember there. Sanji could be killed by Gin . What happened ? Just say . And you will understand what is sanjis basic ability :)
Sanjis main role is not fighter. How many time we have to say that ?
Fishman Island - nobody did not get proper fights.
Punk Hazard - Sanji saved Kinemon , Tashigi and kids and gathering all marines . fits for sanji.
Dressrosa - Sanji made violet strawhat ally before out. Violet helped too much to SHs . fits for sanji.
Zou - Sanji made captain role and zou was saved . fits him.
WCI - sanji faced with his past. And he knocked out yonkou by making cake (main role) saved SHs.
Wano- Page 1 and X drake were dominated.
Onigashima - He developed his character more by showing trust his nakama. plus he saved momo , tama , alliances from prepero arrow. he fought two calamaties for a short time and he accept his fate . and he took down queen.
what do you want more ?
Sanji is not main combatant. All those of action that made by sanji during post arcs fits sanjis characterization.
Nah, all the arcs are good, they have some details which are stupid, but it doesnt make the whole story bad.

You probably don't even know him. He is making a series called the Downfall of One Piece. This is already the third video. His first was about all pre-timeskip, like 6 hours of video. Then he made another about post timeskip until Zou. Now we have WCI and later we will have Wano since it still needs to be finished at manga so he can properly finishes his video too.
He isn't trying to change anybody's mind, he is just explained what happened. It is not his take it is overall takes. A lot of people thinks similar to him. Even the ones who keep saying it is still great agrees that quality has dropped a lot since timeskip.

It is very simple, the story doesn't change if you read weekly or in a row. But in a row you catch more mistakes than reading weekly. It is good to read in a row because you enjoy for a longer time.
It is like eating a whole pizza as dinner or having one slice each week. The pizza is the same and you will notice more things you didn't liked in pizza eating as a whole than eating one slice per week.
By the way, OPM manga sucks. Webtoon way better.

If you enjoy it better when you read it in a row it means it's because mangas like every stories are meant to be read in a row

I'm not saying you enjoy better when you read in a row. You enjoy longer because you don't read just a chapter but a few chapters.
Most people don't read looking for flaws, when you read in a row you find more flaws because you have fresh memory of past chapters. That doesn't happen when you read once a week since you forget about details and focus only on main content.
If One Piece was meant to be read by volumes or arcs they wouldn't release weekly chapters. Simple as that.
