--OK a Lot of people think that oden nearly defeated kaido in their fight (Chapter 970) where we see oden using togen totsuka

--I also used to believe togen totsuka is very powerful attack and it took something like 70 HP from kaido when I saw the attack but in truth after seeing how many attacks kaido has taken and still going strong I think that is not true

--First Kaido was not even drunk and we see how kaido moves out off snakeman's Luffy's attacks which are one of the fastest

--Now two things happens after oden lands attack on kaido --

1) First he falls down


--This led oden an opening to kill kaido but that didn't happen

--But that is basically a weakness of dragon kaido as we see a similar attack doing the same (Making kaido fall) by scabbards



--The second thing oden did was scarring kaido but so did zoro with his ashura attack in 1010


--So zoro's attack as it scarred kaido is more powerful than scabbard's togen totsuka and it didn't made kaido fall like in dragon form

--In short had kaido fought oden in his hybrid form it wouldn't have given him opening to attack

Thoughts?

Secondly, you can't compare Zoro's ACoC haki to Oden's, Oden's was clearly more powerful.
Lastly, sword combats are said to last less time. Oden could take Kaido's head. I don't know if he would, but he could.

My point isn't that oden couldn't take his head but had kaido fought oden in hybrid he wouldn't fall and took the attack like he did against zoro ; kaido has taken so many attacks and still hasn't fallen to his knees

I actually never thought oden was very strong but since he was compared to Shanks and roger then I was forced to reconsider lol... i certainly never got the impression of it being particularly dangerous

Togen Totsuka did more damage to Kaido than all of Luffy's attacks combined.

The current chapter makes it more clear. Kaido after defeating Luffy is looking clean, not looking like someone who was at his limit for the amount of damage taken.
On the other hand, Kaido after Oden was visibly shaken and bleeding heavily. Several days after the fight, Kaido was still bandaged up. That shows how poweful Togen totsuka was

--I don't think so ; drunken kaido's endurance is much higher as we hybrid kaido coughing blood form base adv luffy in 1010 where adv kkg didn't do that much of anything

--Sword attacks are more lethal so that is given ; even kawamatus's attack made kaido bleed more

Not only that days later at odens execution oden was clean from kaidos attacks
Kaido was bandaged to fuck
One of them has a myth zoan and it's not oden

much higher? highly unlikely. Endurance also doesn't stop your bleeding. So whether Kaido is drunk or not, Togen totsuka would still do the same level of damage it did.
KKG made Kaido cough blood though. same for Hydra as well. and Roc Gatling.

Isn't that the exact point? The fact that sword attacks are more lethal is why Oden did that much damage. It is also why Kaido thinks Oden can kill him

--The point of the thread is different but scabbards togen totsuka made kaido bleed a lot but it isn't hindering kaido

--Eh luffy's base nameless attack looked more impressive than KKG to me ; how will you explain it?
