Isn't the Thread about Oden's attack? Scabbards attack is not Oden's attack though. Also we know from the manga that their attack was too shallow

That can be explained from surprise factor. Kaido got up from the base punches laughing then proceeded to throw Luffy into the ocean

No my point is had kaido fought oden in hybrid he wouldn't have fall from oden's attack and keep fighting him ; surprise factor I am not sure about that

He took Roger's attack and fought for 3 days + he wasn't in his prime and Wb didn't do shit to him that was a filler

That’s an assumption? You don’t need ACoC to pierce Kaido if you have Ryou and Oden had alot of that. Even Zoro pierced him when just a smidgen of his CoC leaked when it wasn’t actual ACoC.

I don’t remember an emphasis on Oden’s haki being “ACoC” like the rest?

Kaido placed him with 4 great pirates above post Udon Luffy, a top tier.

I think Oden's attack war powerful, but I think current Kaido is much stronger than back then and that current Luffy (before awakening) is far stronger than Oden. then Kaido drank because of Luffy , and uses his drunken modes. at the end both Luffy and Oden's fights ended the same way, but Kaido is much stronger now, and abpve that he is using his modes.

The attack messed up Kaido very badly.

He was panicking and felt it was best to take Momo as hostage. Things were getting particularly badly for him.

I still stand by my opinion, TOGEN TOTSUKA is the most lethal and offensive thing we've ever seen in the entire manga, and what a kaido tanked.
Kaido after the attack with a casual blow put a stamina monster like ODEN to sleep. Kaido wasn't KO'd by the most insane hit in the entire series, Oden was KO'd by a casual hit this shows the difference in stamina and monstrosity. Unlike ODEN kaido withstood the biggest blow ODEN could deliver.

Oden is a clown but no doubt that his Togen Totsuka is one of the strongest attack AP wise, above Zoro's Asura and probably Luffy's SKG. But to be fair, that was flashback Dragon Kaido without using his FS or Hybrid Form.

There is indeed canonically proof that kaido wasn't giving it his all in that fight, but there's nothing about ODEN that says the same.

The fight in a nutshell:
I attack you and you attack me.

Oden: I fatally wounded you, but I didn't defeat you.

Kaido: I didn't fatally wound you, but I knocked you out.

are we assuming Kaido Strength now is bigger now than 20 years ago? Or overall ? And yes i agree if the attack was powerful enough it would have beaten Kaido back then. It is clear as day that Oden needed a follow up attack after dropping Kaido down. As for Zoro scarring Kaido in his Hybird form its because the Dragon Form is more Tankier then his Hybrid.
