Sigh, then there would have been zero reason to hide it from the readers. Shanks could have just said, "Im here to talk about Blackbeard" and that would have validated the argument. But the point is, he never explicitly stated who the person is, which is like mystery 101 for it not being Blackbeard because its the first person you think of lol.
Imo, currently, its neither Luffy or Blackbeard, but the Burned Man. Something tells me Shiryu was right on the money about the Burned Man's status as a WG employee and I still believe Shanks is still likely playing some role with the WG in the end.
