Their credibility didn't get "destroyed". You shouldn't interpret things while ignoring the narrative, Oda prevented King/Queen from blocking Zoro to reach the top by making Marco stall them, that's all. Do not give a final verdict based on a single panel instead of waiting to see the way that King/Queen get taken down, they still have yet to demonstrate their hybrids.
