Shiryu is one of the Big Villains in One Piece, maybe in 3rd place behind Blackbeard and Akainu?..
He's destined to have a Great Impact on the story.. Well, to accomplish that he needs his Role to have a high performance
as The Evil Doer.. :sadgrin:

A Blade.. Is a Mere Reflection of Yourself..

Shiryu's Sword is called Raiu which signifies Thunderstorm.. And It's been stated by Shimotsuki Kouzaburo,
a famous Swordsmith of Wano, that a Great Blade can see into your Soul and it chooses only the Swordsman's who
best suits it.. So in other words, a Worthy Swordsman and a Famed Meito attract one another..




For example, Zoro's compared to a Demonic Beast since chapter 2 and him meeting his Blade Named " Demon Slayer ",
Sandai Kitetsu in Loguetown.. It's no stroke of Luck..





Knowing this, we can extrapolate a bit on Shiryu and Raiu's intertwined personality or what is their drive.. " A Blade's like a Kitchen
Knife but created for the sole reason to Kill people "..


What better Wielder than a Swordsman who gives in to his " Greed "..
Being set Free to rampage and Murder anyone and everyone in sight..
You can not contain a Thunderstorm, it's simply in its Nature to Wreak Havoc on Earth..




Shiryu also likes the easy road by eating the Invisible Invisible Devil Fruit powers.. To be Sneaky, to play Dirty, the Ability
to Cheat, to have a Corrupt mind, Vile and Disgraceful?.. That seems to summarize his character.. He Will obtain somewhat
effortlessly the Observation Killer power when he Awakens his abilities..




What would also be Crazy is as some have speculated, Raiu may have eaten the Suke Suke no Mi.. It was shown in the series
That Objects and Swords can absorb Devil Fruit powers somehow.. Although what is even more Ludicrous is if Shiryu's Sword
Awakens, it could perhaps level up and turn into a Black Blade!?.. So he would be handed two Power ups without having
struggled for it, Observation Killer + Black Blade.. Mind Blown..




Now lets get Back on track.. If i were to cite Mihawk's every qualities and perhaps Yoru's too, it would be along those lines.. Honorable,
Dedicated, Virtuous, Honest, Fair Play, Perseptive, Direct, Truthful, Noble, Pure, Humble, Disciplined, Courageous, Integrity, and
Moderately Lazy.. The list goes on..


Anyway, this to show that Mihawk will fight a " Sword Duel " by the " book " even if the Opponent is Foul on all sides.. Which will be
a good opportunity for One Piece to shed light on What is a " Real " Swordsman and what isn't.. The values that goes behind Swordsmen
Aiming for the Pinnacle of Swordsmanship and an Usurper of the WSS Title, non deserving of it..

Once Mihawk is Killed, it will be a Dark time for Swordsmen all around the World..


Then only one Swordsman Will be able to avenge his Mentor, to surpass the Man that Mihawk could not, and reclaim the World
Strongest Swordsman's Title Glory.. The Man who will usher a New Era of Swordsmanship, for where his Name and Exploits shall
reach the very Heavens and Beyond..

I wonder if Oda is going to give him a special sword style or superior CoA Haki.

We have no confirmation on him being a swordsman or not but he was showing special care for his sword:



The chances are higher he is a swordsman, unlike Alber not being a swordsman despite using a sword and coating his sword with CoA.

The known sword styles:
- Oden Nitouryu
- Zolo's Santoryu
- Mihawk's style (probably related to something like Eagle)
- Foxfire style

We need something like Hiten Mitsurugi style for Shiryu or very high level CoA mastery. Adding that he is Invisible it will boost his powers a lot.

Oda can also do a lot of things with Invisibility awakening.

Invisibility is the ability to let light pass through the objects. So in theory with advance abilities, that should be able to create illusions or light manipulation techniques as well. This is also another option.

With Absalom they could lure Moria as they already did and instead of stealing Shadow Paramecia, Shiryu steal Invisibility Paramecia. Thats how he valued that ability more than Shadow paramecia.

It depends if Raiu ate the Invisible Fruit powers or not.. It's deep into speculations at this point.. At least Shiryu is not
a righteous Swordsman..

Whiryu's epithet and sword have to mean something, King the wildfire had innate fire powers and multiple abilities so what abilities will Whiryu have on top of his DF? :watchout:

It does and it doesn't at the same Time.. Because in a context where Shiryu Kills Mihawk, the way to know Zoro would surpass Mihawk is to Surpass the man Mihawk could not beat..
