The Marines didn't have the resources to go to Wano not the WG which are two enterily different entities, we have already be shown that the WG didn't know of either presence in Wano with Drake and the CP0, if Oda wanted to show that the marines were coming it would be through Drake and not Lucci.
The Marines committed a great mistake to be vocal against the Shichibukai system. They won't be able to rely on them during the Final War. I would of preferred differently because we know our beloved men will probably be defeated during that arc.
