One Piece started in 1997.
Sanji was introduced in 1998
Sanji beat Jabra in 2006
(Sanji beat Absalom in 2007)
It’s now 2021.
So for more than half of One Piece’s consecutive running time, Sanji has not had a real on-screen one vs one victory (whether you count Absalom or not).
Mental stuff. Especially since in that time Franky of all people has had three- Ikaros, Pink, Sasaki.

As if that's not enough, Oda's gonna make Zoro win against a guy Cook couldn't defeat, twice, before ZKK.
It's like, Oda is making it clear, when all is said and done, Cook is only good enough to take care of Zoro's leftovers, while Zoro is good enough to beat someone Cook couldn't even push past neg diff.
I am certain now that Luffy's wings are like the Shichibukai. You have the likes of Zoro and Mihawk on one side, while, on the other, you only have Moria and Cook sharing the same title.
