Oda doesn't offscreen seriously g4 clashes against a powerful enemy unless he will end it in only 3-5 chapters onscreen while most of the parts is offscreened
He also didn't show us g2/g3 fighting Kizaru.

The fight may be 1v1 like katakuri vs Luffy
But it's getting Cracker vs Luffy treatment from Oda already.

So yeah, the battle may last an hour but we will get only 2-5 chapters of it onscreen.
The fact Luffy is also using g5 means this round of fight is ending soon

What was offscreened again? Why should Luffy use all of his gears in order for it to be a meaningful fight, when he's up against a top tier? Using G4 from the get-go he still underestimated Kizaru and got injured because of it.

Oda doesn't write good combats, he writes good hype moments though. Maybe one of the best.
And every big guy in One Piece who showcase his moves ends up losing, because just like Jojo or HxH, only the "protagonist" showcase their abilities multiple times, enemies showcase everything only once.
Kizaru is not gonna be defeated here, and as such, he won't showcase nor an awakening nor too many things, in my opinion.
