Something tells me this isnt "actually" the fight but just the 1st round. Kizaru will probably put luffy in a situation where he wont be able to directly fight him for x amount of chapters. Then towards the end of the arc we get the last round this happens almost every arc somehow

If Kizaru is not fighting Luffy he can do whatever because no one there is able to stop him besides Luffy. Kizaru can even warp into places he could wipe out the alliance pretty fast.
That's the sole reason I believe Luffy will be matched with Kizaru till the end of Egghead, Kizaru is just too strong to be wandering around just like Kaidou and unlike Kaidou he has a fruit that allows him to cover the entire island in no time.

Yes this is the alternative, where the fight just keeps going for 20 chapters while Oda segues to other scenes. This was basically Luffy vs. Kaido from 1026-1049 for example.
