But how does this lineup with Imu being called the false king in the flashback. The Davy Jones claim and storyline and his will being inherited by BB?

I think those are useful hooks, but they only work if Oda actually shows how that turns into real power, otherwise the same question remains: who actually runs the World Government after Imu? It’s possible Oda will have the WG collapse entirely after Imu, but that still needs on‑page justification

I like the idea of Blackbeard teaming up against Imu, that fits his opportunist vibe. I’m not against him being endgame, but if he replaces Imu, you still have to explain who supports him and how he keeps that kind of control long-term. And with the final saga already underway, I’m not sure there’s enough time to really develop that

It’s almost guaranteed to be the 2nd option imo Imu won’t fall here but I think Oda will flip the script by having 2 main antagonists instead of one

BB who wishes to become the King of the World and Imu who wishes to maintain the world that he’s created

Vs Luffy who wants to liberate everyone

It’ll be a 1v1v1 imo (including whatever alliances they may have forged)
