I hated the main plot of this arc. It was straight garbage.

The side plots were amazing

Kid vs Shanks
Hachinosu
Reverie flashback
Kuma flashback

All good shit

But the main plot is actually garbage. I’m tired of the vegapunks, gorosei, and Nika glazing. I can’t wait till the story moves on.

The only time the in-Egghead arc was good was when Kizaru was active and also Kuma's flashback.

The out of Egghead moments though carry it to best major post skip arc status.

I thought this arc would finally be a fast paced and straight to the point arc just like Zou or Reverie were, sadly Oda had to stretch it over 60 chapters long because the gorosei can't do shit and the Vegapunk speech is on fucking x0.25. Literally the worst part of this arc it's the arc itself, because every single thing that happened out of egghead was hype af, i got more excited over Don Kriegg returning over whatever tf Vegapunk has been saying over the last two months lmao. At least speech piece is finally over.

Everything from the lore drops, to the world building to all the great characters appearing both new and old, not to mention the awesome fights

01. Introduction [All Chapters before CP-0 Reached Egghead]
02. Labo Game [CP-0 & Seraphim Plot until York Reveal]
03. Outside Egghead [Non-Egghead Sub-Plots]
04. Kuma's Story [Kuma's Flashback & Fights that Preceded it]
05. Vegapunk's Death [All Chapters between End of Kuma's Flashback & Start of Broadcast]
06. Reaction/Broadcast Piece [Broadcast Chapters]

I'd say Overall it's an 8/10 Arc for me
And depending on Next Chapters (How it Ends), it might turn out to be 9/10

However, i believe We gonna have a 7th Part Post-Broadcast showing the Real Egghead Incident.

Better than Wano, which is the worst OP arc yet, but far from great.

The stuff outside of Egghead with Blackbeard, the Reverie and Garp is way more interesting that what's happening in Egghead.
Nika stuff is still very annoying, even more with two of them, the arc once again suffers of the pace being too long and of the stalling, Vegapunk wasn't really impressive as a character, the Gorosei and the fight against them are not that good, Kizaru and the Gorosei are just another set of victims of the plot armor protecting the Straw Hats, and Oda missed the opportunities for proper meetings and interactions between Franky and Vegapunk and between Robin and the Gorosei, and there's of course the long and boring speech.

It started great until the phone call with the gorosei. After that it felt like Oda randomly did some improvised and forced nika shit. Really terrible. The long awaited SHP-Marine confrontation, completely fucked up.
Missed the chance to present the marine a real devil child Robin.
Zoro, sanji didn't have any moment with the marines, acknowledging their role as wings of yonko luffy.
Nami - Zeus connection wasn't been seen by a VA whatsoever. Would've boosted her bounty to be known to have part of Meme's powers.
Missed Jimbei marine moment as former warlord.
Kizaru abilities completely fucked up turning him into the usop of the admirals.

But we got some random chick turn into nika and do a combo move obliterating a fucking supergod top tier gorosei with luffy after they had 25 staring contests, wow!

For me it's an improvement from Wano, but overstrechted into oblivion....

I liked Kuma's flashback, I liked the fact that we finally met VP (albeit I'd be happy with just 1 or 2 of them), stuff happening outside Egghead was hype, Giants arriving to Egghead is hype, SHP finally being together is nice. Stussy

Traitor plot is meh, Gorosei are meh except for some of their designs, the never ending running is the same as in every damn arc, and the speech is one of the worst lore dump speeches simply because we knew so much of it already. Also I disliked Nika wank and off-panelling of most SHP moments and fights. Like how the hell Robin got so injured she cannot even move on her own? We at least got an odd panel of Lucci vs Zoro here and there...

So I really enjoyed it in the beginning, but somewhere along the traitor plot I got a little frustrated and right now I am outright annoyed that it's still going on and the plot moves with the pace of a dead snail.

I believe I might like it a little more on a re-read, because the breaks make it even more overstrechted.
