Character Discussion Time vindicated Doflamingo.

@Veku What’s going on with the Young Master? Is he bad at powerscaling, or did he actually have a real chance of pulling that off? Was he drunk?

Doflamingo and Kaidou, the allies who don’t know how to powerscale.

Someone thinking something doesn't = Is capable of doing it

Just like Luffy thought he cant lose then lost right away.

Doffy is deluded enough to think he can jump and admiral, although it would be difficult. Him trying to jump Aokiji for example would end in a disaster.

All you're showing is Doffy severely underestimates the power of Admirals, because they are government lapdogs, but doesn't underestimate Kaido's strength, because Kaido is a stronger tyrant than he is.

Again, doffy was deluded enough to think he could kill smoker from range 0 before kuzan could stop him, and he failed even that. Then when Aokiji let him break out the ice, doffy starts internally crying and asking questions like;

"Waaaah why are you here? what do you want kuzan? what are your motives waaaah" then he silently backs down once he realises he's not gonna get his way.

Anyway using admirals for kaido's portrayal is one thing, but if you compare yonko to yonko the point remains:

The only reason Doffy could act nonchalant and laugh when witnessing Old washed WB's power is because he wasn't directly involved with WB, and had no intention of it:

Again, hence why he asks Mihawk if he is seriously going to fight because in his mind "why would anyone ever want to purposely try to get involved with a yonko?":

"Heh heh.. what are you doing? are you really going to fight?" = What the fuck are you doing? are you really going to battle against a Yonko and his crew? something I would never purposely do?

Both these panels are in the literal same chapter btw, Doffy reacting to WB's power, and being surprised of Mihawk wanting to get involved. Mihawk and doffy witnessing WB's power and having opposite behaviours shows you the kind of men doffy and Mihawk are.

If WB was breathing down Doffy's neck, expecting results, he would be shitting his pants the exact same way he was for Kaido, that is the fact of the matter. Because of WB's portrayal in the world.

But as a matter of fact it would be the exact same for Shanks and BM too. So this whole propaganda post to elevate Kaido using doffy's reaction doesn't work.

If anything all you can really show is Kaido's portrayal is above that of the admiral title (big woop) , but by extension Yonko in terms of being as doffy said Legendary Beasts, whereas the admirals are Monsters.

Ofc Akainu as fleet admiral has better portrayal than Admirals, and the fact that he is luffy's destined enemy, after luffy getting all these power ups gives a heavy argument for Akainu > Kaido.

There's really nothing in the series implying that Doffy and Kaido had a relationship beyond purely business, and he was just one of many of his clients. The idea that he was putting his chips on Kaido to take down Imu is pretty much fanfiction

At most you can say is that he mentions the Celestial Dragons will be dragged out of Mariejois, but he says that after talking about several factions, never with a focus on Kaido, as opposed to just the inevitability of decline generally.

Who was building Kaido's Zoan army? :milaugh:
Kaido was building his Zoan army in exchange for selling weapons to Doflamingo, who would then sell the weapons for a profit. It's not an act of charity or loyalty, it's business on the black market.

Or has Doflamingo ever said, or implied otherwise?

When Doffy was rejected from returning to the holy land, he said he would destroy the world.
Kaido, who also wants to destroy the world, is building an army to take on the World Govt.
Doflamingo, who aint strong enough himself, is the key man of Kaido's plan to build an army for the destruction of the world.
This is merely a 2+2.

There's nothing wrong with creating fan fiction, it's just important to separate it from canon. Doflamingo would be supplying devil fruits to Kaido, in exchange for weapons he could sell to the world government. That and the fact that Doflamingo went for the position of warlord instead of a beast pirate means that his intention is to play both sides off eachother, for profit. Almost like he's supposed to be chaotic evil.

Unless you believe that Kaido personally wants Doflamingo to sell weapons to the world government and be a warlord. But that's obviously not true in canon

Once again, WG rules this world and Doffy wants to destroy it.
And he is aiding the guy who also wants to destroy it by building his army.
Doffy being a Warlord is where you fail? After seeing him ask Mihawk if he really wants to fight for WG...
