Speculations To ZKK deniers, when will Enma turn black?

#1
This is not a thread to debate whether ZKK will happen or not.

Zoro will definitely have 3 blackened blades by EOS. Most people who believe in ZKK (including me) believe that Enma will turn black after it, with Zoro fulfilling the sword's will. It's pretty obvious that Wado will be his last sword to blacken which will happen after Zoro beats Mihawk and becomes WSS. A lot of people speculate that Sandai (or Nidai) will go black after beating the bald Gorosei who likely wields Shodai Kitetsu, sometime between the end of Wano and the Mihawk fight.

To those who don't believe in ZKK, under what circumstances do you think Enma will go black? In my opinion, it would be pretty underwhelming for it go black in any arc other than Wano considering Enma will never again have the narrative relevance that it currently does.

Every day I take several doses of reasons for ZKK

Think I’m one of the few that think all three blades will turn black this arc 😂😂😂 but yea most def enma
he needs to get nidai and maybe even shodai kitetsu in the future (would be cool if he beats the bald elder with the nidai even though he has the "higher grade sword" (assuming ghandi has this sword)
Sandai kitetsu needs to be destroyed
I personally think Sandai Kitetsu has something to do with the grim reaper (it's cursed)

In my opinion, it would be pretty underwhelming for any sword to go black before Wado, considering it's the most important sword for Zoro.
I feel like that's exactly why it has to go black last, the most important sword should be saved for last. Also since Wado is pretty much guaranteed to go black against Mihawk, if its his first sword to go black, that would mean he would only have 1 black blade EOS.

Excuse my length lol this is my head cannon. So in this arc oda put luffy at his peak of course this is not his eos peak strength just current wano, so that being said I don’t think it’s out of the possibility that Oda puts zoro at his peak as well just like luffy this isn’t eos zoro strength because he won’t be wielding 3 supreme grade blades he will have two supreme and sandai the weakest of the three. I don’t see sandai being broken at this point , to me it made the most sense vs hakai, and then vs sword breaker king but still nothing I think if anything happens to sandai it will turn black this arc and be left behind like the legendary blade Shusui and enshrined bringing food fortune to wano then in return zoro will get the nidai and be on his path to eos with three supreme grade black blade.

Now as far as the reaper goes I think that has to do with enma.

1.In chap 97 ipon matsu is explaining kitetsu and how people die tragic deaths wielding those swords Oda draws a panel with kitetsu in it with a wavy pattern and then he ends ipon matsu words with the sword chooses the swordsman

2. In chap 1033 when zoro removers the old man from his village he remembers being told by him a sword has its own personality a swordsman must master it ,and bend it to his will again in this panel Oda gives us that wavy pattern like he did in chap 97

3. in chap 1038 we are introduced to the reaper who has the wavy background again just like the previous two examples, at this point it’s not a coincidence, and it’s not hallucinating from the medicine that wasn’t even a side affect per the doctors explanation. (chopper I’m 1038, and Miyagi in 1017)

Your explanation of Sandai turning black and returned for nidai makes a lot of sense, and gives Zoro an excuse to visit ryuma's grave and see the dog again

For all the ways Oda can take for or 'against' zoro considering ZKK happens or not - Oda MUST give a conclusion to Nidai Kitetsu and the Grim Reaper

Glad u like it I also think it would be epic to see a sword smith get his blade returned to him in its blackened state since it’s so rare of a feat it could be a really great moment between zoro and tengu.

Yea I totally agree with you both of those plot points have to be covered oda isn’t just leaving them open for no reason .

Enma is going to lose significance once we leave Wano so it's time to be blackened is this Arc. If Enma is not a black blade through the Grim reaper plot the next time we see Zoro conscious then there's only one obvious way for it to become black.
:goyea::goyea:
so you think grim reaper is a physical manifestation of Enma. I could see that tbh because isn’t Enma the king of the underworld.

if turning a blade black was simply fulfilling the will of the sword , is it really in anyway impressive?
I would like to think its a lot more complicated than that , maybe it has to do with one's armament mastery
but personally I have always seen it as a powerup reserved for future arcs since the only swordsman who currently has one is the strongest one and we are supposed to believe zoro is still significant ways off from that.

if zoro were to leave this arc with a black blade for hypothetically killing kaido after luffy defeated him
it would honestly justify the argument that forging a black blades has little correlation with one's strength as characters like shanks, oden, roger , rayleigh all in their primes are no doubt stronger than zoro who just forged one.

Nah Wado should turn black when he becomes WSS
I’m not against this if this is the route Oda chooses to go, personally though I’m just stuck on the Brief explanation from gyukimaru in 937 about ryuma and shusui. Ryuma history of battle with the blade seems to be important to forging a black blade and wado has been with zoro the longest so if enma indeed will be rushed this arc to be black then why not wado to or first , and maybe that’s simply explained as fulfilling the will of the blade we just don’t know yet if so then so be it 😂
