I dont particularly have any attachment for Zoro vs Admiral even tho I would like to see a conclusion to the unfinished business Zoro and Kizaru have from Sabaody which also fits thematically for Dark, King of Hell, representative of Asura and Light, representative of Devas.
It always seemed weird if all Admirals fall to a single crew so I dont mind Zoro not fighting one despite him being the best fit for it. However, Law and Kidd dont seem like someone who will ever be capable of taking down an Admiral in 1vs1, unless they team up again.

I would like representatives of different factions to take on Admirals. For example, Zoro the SHs representative takes one Admiral, Wyper the Old Kingdom representative takes on another one, Weevil the Shichibukai representative takes another, Sabo the Revolutionary representative takes on Akainu. In that case, Law and Kidd would take on Gorosei each, Sanji too. Yamato/Cavendish another Gorosei, Crocodile the last Gorosei match-up. Luffy and Momo go chasing after Imu.

If there is greater narrative weight in Zoro vs Gandhi, I would take it instead of Zoro vs Kizaru.
And I also think, Zoro will have at least 3 fights in final war so I dont mind if one of those aint vs an Admiral.

If Sanji ends up not fighting an admiral nothing will change his character will play something during that time. The issue of course is Zoro which his character is based on fighting.

I have always been conflicted on this matter. Are Luffy and Zoro going to fight admirals or the Gorosei at the final War? If Mihawk is against the SH there is no way Zoro can fight an admiral but Oda took care of that ensuring that Mihawk will be an enemy to WG or if somehow he has to ties to imu (cough red eyes).

Is Luffy going to Solo Akainu > Gorosei > Imu ?
Is Zoro going to Solo Admiral > Gorosei > Mihawk?

Its too much. I have no answer here.

I got the idea for this thread because of recent development in-story and the fact that this match-up is gaining popularity ever since 1053 dropped. A strong argument for Zoro and Cook not going anywhere near the Admirals EoS may come from Lolda himself, in the fact that he ensured, for 25 years and running, that Luffy's opponent is a trillion tiers above Zoro's and/or Cook's.

I'm sure some of you might have noticed that the argument for the 3 Billion Trio (and only the 3 Billion Trio) vs the Admirals EoS not only stems from this "tradition" Lolda maintained for a quarter of a century and running, but also from the fact that Lolda went to great lengths to "demote" Zoro or Cook when Law and/or Kidd are involved. You can see this from Zoro consistently beating the third strongest opponent of the arc in Punk Hazard, Dressrosa, and Onigashima, while Law (later joined by Kidd) took down someone with more relevance/importance.

A theory also proposes that, in leaving the Admirals' fight to the 3 Billion Trio, Zoro or Cook might busy themselves elsewhere EoS, such as stopping Sword/SSG/Ancient Weapons/etc or helping out the Revos.

If Lolda decides to maintain this tradition and go this route how would your personally feel/react?

Please note that I am not asking whether you think Zoro and Cook will fight the Admirals. I am asking you what will you think if Lolda decides they are narratively not that important to fight the Admirals after all.

It would be so boring if oda had the captain trio defeat the admirals(although i can totally see it happening). I want the 3 of them to attack each other, like pirates do. All the absolutely strongest pirates (whitebeard, kaido, big mom) didnt actually cared a little bit about the marines, except maybe of garp. All this "we are all friends" situation gets so lame after a while.

The admirals will fight the old and the new emperors. Zoro will likely take Buggy's place after he gets neg-diffed. If an admiral is defeated, Buggy will somehow take the credit and his followers will be in awe.

Fuck the strawhats in general though. Shits so boring as hell. I rather see an admiral take on Shanks or Blackbeard as opposed to say Sanji/Franky/Brook/Yamato luls.

Actually, the bounties of auction 3 are spot on.
Law and Kidd didnt get KOed 6 times and died once nor did they need 14 other ppl to help them.

It'll be a disappointment to be honest. I want Zoro to beat at least one Admiral, one Gorosei. It can be Kizaru or Fujitora, and then Gandhi. It's a fulfillment that the main fighter of the PK can beat an Admiral decisively. Less than that? It'll be a disservice to Zoro imo. Dunno about Sanji. I want him to beat Vegapunk or the strongest cyborg ever instead of an Admiral. If he beat Greenbull it'll be so dope tho.
