Tricky very tricky.
I've posited before when talking to @Seth that I can see a few options for the end. Mitchy is successful in saving Mikey and goes back to the timeline he came from but Mikey is good there. Mitchy somehow makes everything fine and brings back people like Draken and maybe Shinichiro as well, or he can't save Mikey. With the whole final saga being about saving Mikey I doubt the last one but Wakui likes to surprise so it's not outside of the realm of possibilities. Another ending I can see is that Mitchy saves everyone, Mikey included, but Takemitchy dies or can no longer exist with them, or at the very least cannot maintain any semblance of relationships with any of them. It would be like they never knew each other, no one knew Takemitchy even though he saved them all.
Yeah I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's what happens. We skip to the future all of them are hanging out, Mikey Draken, Mitsuya, Baji, etc, and on the news there's a report about a guy named Hanagaki Takemitchy dying and all of them don't even have a clue who he is. He saved them all, paid the ultimate sacrifice and they have no idea who he is or what he did. Sad indeed.

@Franosuke share your thoughts when you do catch up. The thing you mentioned happens in chapter 222 iirc. So you got like 50 chapters to binge.

And like I said karma is a prevalent phenomenon in the manga
And dark impulses seem like the punishment that befall those who have gained powers in an inadequate ways. Now I just need Wakui to tie it up to Hanma. The one who judges, the one who decides who lives and dies, the one who gives out punishment for the sins.

That is Shin is cursed by having his desire twisted and doomed to fail. Most definitely the old man's curse
Speaking of the old man he was probably cursed too. That's why he's a disheveled hobo living under a bridge even though he has the power to travel through time. It must be that those who acquire this power violently, in other words by killing those in front of them who had it are doomed to fail and are cursed. That's why imo Takemitchy is successful and will save Mikey. He already achieved his primary goal of saving Hinata and will most likely be able to save Mikey as well. As far as we know Mitchy never killed anyone to get his time leaping power.
