Ekko not claiming Watcher here makes me think he‘s just Town anyways. He‘d know he flips sooner or later so I feel he‘d use his death to draw out the only invest in the game, at least.

Like sure, it outs him to the Watcher, but then they‘d be forced to CC or Ekko has IC status and never gets offed. I feel that’s a trade clever scums would make 10/10 if they know they’re likely dying, if not today then at night.

Can anyone weigh in on this?

The moment he gets counterclaim he gets buried and it relies upon him being able to sell it. After previously saying that he doesn't really care and is going in the tank, it's going to be hard to argue that he's a watcher afterwards. But I'm sure you knew all this anyway.

It‘s literally not about survival, it’s about luring out a threat that’s also an IC and to deny Town invest results and to freely kill.

Right, but given that his play already makes no sense for a watcher it offers nothing but certain death. Not even a very good chance it outs the watcher as its more likely people just call his bluff.
