I know people have been forgetting things lately and its understandable because the manga is 1100+ chapters long and most are speed readers. But when you look at the dreams of SHPs there are very few that are defined to have been achieved. Take every single SHPs dream and out of those which can you say have been achieved at a single point.
1. Luffy becomes PK when he surpasses RHPs and claims OP - clear (we dont even know his other dream)
2. Zoro becomes WSS when he beats Mihawk - clear
3. Nami when she draws the map of the world - vague
4. Usopp becomes brave warrior of the sea - vague
5. Sanji when he finds All Blue - vague/not defined (probably at Laugh Tale)
6. Chopper when he finds cure to everything - vague
7. Robin when she gets all Poneglyphs at Laugh Tale - clear
8. Franky when Sunny sails the world/reaches Laugh Tale - clear
9. Brook when he meets Laboon - clear
10. Jinbe when he gets Fishmen to live on surface - clear (I think this is Jinbes dream but idk if it has been said anywhere in the series)
We knew Luffy dream from the get go and what he would have to do to achieve it from the beginning I think. We knew Zoros dream but how to achieve it was shown much later when Mihawk arrived. Anyone with basic reading comprehension knows that Mihawk was in East Blue and chased Don Kreig only because he was required to show how Zoro will achieve his dream.
Mihawk said a few things that have stuck with the fanbase
Becoming PK is more perilous/dangerous/tougher than becoming WSS
Challenge Zoro to surpass him, surpass his sword
Claims that he stands at the top of the world
The last one gets overlooked mostly because of agenda based haters whose favs are threatened because they are weaker than Mihawk. They are looking at this solely from power scaling perspective and do not acknowledge that this is in fact a dream, the goal of the 2nd MC in the story. And this has led to this cancer of proclaiming every new sword wielder to somehow be the actual WSS instead of Mihawk.
TLDR Mihawk is Top 1 and you are free to cry about it.
