Break week so I will give y'all something to talk about, if you havent immersed yourself in my latest gem:
https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/threads/the-end-of-the-road-final-boss-of-copium.85341/
There are 2 major plot devices that have been introduced in the story which led nowhere and will likely play major roles in future:
1 - Toki's future jumping ability
2 - Sugar's ability to make everyone forget
1 - Toki's ability is a clear plot device that popped up out of nowhere and for no reason at all.
There was no need to send half of Scabbards into the future for the destined battle, the half that wasnt sent made it to the same destination.
There was no need to keep Momonosuke young, that was literally negated by rippening ability making him adult again, as if time jump didnt happen whatsoever.... This obviously begs the question - Why did Oda introduce an ability that can send people from the past into a point in future?
Who is it that will appear in the present out of nowhere?! Which ancient figure?
2 - Same thing with Sugar's ability... All this to make residents of Dressrosa forget about Kyros?
Even if we look at Dressrosa alone, this is rather a minor plot device.
Making everyone forget a guy who ends up defeating the mighty Diamante?!
I think you catch my drift... The same question arises here.
Who is it that the world forgot about?! Which ancient figure was erased from everyone's minds?
Discuss.
