General & Others Unpopular Opinions?

Nika was always planned since before the start of the series:

Only thing that changed in the main story is Oda giving it a cover up name to keep it a "secret" for down the line. Where as original concept was Luffy got a DF that's worth more than an Emperor, from the get go of the story and the readers knew about it.

Merely rubber man isn't making it a legendary fruit on par with the Ope Ope no Mi.

No dude. That wasn't planned from beginning. Kaido being the only one with PhD in Rubber is definitely not planning it out. Having a flashback about Law's DF having a 10 billion bounty over it while Luffy's one doesn't is not planning it out. Having World Governament only talking about it when the DF is finally revealed is not planning it out.

1) Boa Hancock isn’t the hottest woman in One Piece, hell I wouldn’t even put her in the top 5.
2) Zoro has always been much closer to Luffy than Sanji in terms of combat strength, and always will be. There’s a reason why only those two were at the rooftop to fight the two emperors, no one else in the crew is comparable to their strength.
3) Carrot is the only character that deserves to be another crew member, no one else fits. She has the combat strength, she fulfills a role in the crew, and gets along with everyone. No one else fits all three of those requirements. Her returning to Zou was dumb and didn’t feel earned.
4) Jimbe is a worthy addition to the crew and doesn’t deserve all the hate he gets on here.
5) The One Piece story didn’t decline in quality after the timeskip, it’s just moving faster. IMO the majority of people who bitch about that are just toxic fanboys that are impossible to please.

One thing that's missing in One Piece setting, and is part of why it never felt fully like a pirate story, is the grave absence of merchant ships, of mention of the trade between the islands of the world, and of powerful trade companies who have more reasons than anyone to hate pirates and want to see them eradicated for raiding their ships and cargos.
We actually saw a little of that early on with things like the Orbit during Sanji's First Backstory. That being a cruise ship. And in the Rocks flashbacks, it was said that they sank 74 ships, and pillaged 16 port cities.
