Something else I noticed, the "resurrection" of love is not referring to bringing back the dead, which was already addressed, but resurrecting the bond of love that was previously weakened/severed.

I think the died instantly thing is specifically so that the emphasis is not placed on the method of death or if the victim translocated themselves.
