Its hard to solve such an issue.
The only thing that proves successful, is teaching people the way of town through giving spare ressources to play with and still good variety.
We need a season where someone hosts a mountainous game, or maybe a big 30 player one shot mafia with an open setup and no claim rules enforced. Something where there are 3 vigs each one shot and they have to follow the best PoEs in the game to work it out. 3 one shot cops who have to figure out targets by reevaluating how compatible or incompatible players are.
Variety atp is not only flavour, but utilizing different ways of solving each time and approaching a game. The same approach each gaming and doing mech D2 is jading out players as a result I feel. I also feel it.
I think her issue is that some players trolled the game and thus costed town victory but imo mafia just played better then town, Im not saying that town trolling didnt help though.

if town getting trolled, can't even tell if said player is trolling/solving at the same time.. tells me they never bothered to read/understand the players.
like i can see orca trolling, but i still read him and polar town and vote on orca scum read.

then prove them wrong, prove that a gimmick game thats soft on mech or even vanilla can become a hit too, there are so many possibilities, the gimmick just has to be that good and fun that it enables the players to enjoy the game and have some change of pace or a variation
I also have so many ideas, but it is like an autistic adhd storm in my brain where never anything sticks and new ideas and shit keeps popping up lol. We need a focussed host who can bring some magic back lol

I mostly focus on RM and SRM but you can try your hand on light games, my Fire Emblem Game was a gimmick one and I feel it was a success overall setup wise.

Wanted to avoid calling out names but:
Orca, Polar, Juice, Naomi, Watson, AM, Jaguar, Reloaded, Alexis were all town and none of them did town any favour.
i dont think you have ever immediately been able to read me as town, i legitimately think part of this perception is i simply come across inherently scummy to you?
some others do not have this perception of my play, which is why i mention it
