This Orochi theory suddenly pop out probably because of one reason. Orochi is the only character that fit with the situation obimawashi, where high ranking people having fun with woman, but he's dead now, is he really dead? Or Orochi have planned this with Kaido, so enemy won't go after him anymore. We don't really know.

The 'shadow on sea', pretty much the same situation like Otama claims she got to the island by sneaking to an enemy ship, Oda didn't leave that part cliffhanger like Sanji reaction part, I believe since it leave with that kind of Cliffhanger it Orochi, King, WsW etc, yes I think too much about this because I also think it Ivankov at first lol but based on the word Lord and the chapter ended cliffhanger I think it's make sense for op fandom especially Sanji fan to think too much about it.

I also thought that Sanji and Viola wouldn't be a thing in Dressrosa so it's better to not jump the gun yet.

Orochi is surely alive, yes, but why should he stay on Onigashima - in Kaido's mansion - to have fun with some prostitutes, when he's actually the biggest coward ever, a war is happening around him and he knows that he just got betrayed and has zero allies anymore?

Nothing in particular as far as I know. Some are just obsessed with his return because of a singular character hinting it.
I'm highly skeptical, even more to think of a Sanji v Orochi, cause Sanji v Queen has been heavily hinted and not just by a character, but legit manga circumstances and potential flashbacks.
