Why would Oda list off random nobodies like Donquino but not mention fucking Oden’s role? It’s because Oden was not an official Roger Pirate, just a borrowed WBP who got clumsily shoehorned into Roger’s story

Oden had no role? He was just a member like Sunbell

Which is why Akainu/Sengoku know him as Whitebeard's commander and not Roger's crew member, and why Oda's listing of the Roger Pirates main members mysteriously fails to include Oden.

Oden was essentially what Law was to the Straw Hats, someone who was temporarily part of the crew and travelled with them but was never actually considered a serious member.
