- Have Zoro & Law fight Kaido alongside Luffy.
- Using shambles, have Law keep Luffy & Zoro away from Kaido as they try to injure Kaido. Neither being able to hurt Kaido sets up for their respective power ups in Adv. Haki & Enma and does a little more respect on the Supernova as a whole.
- Introduce Yamato in Udon during Act 2
- I like Yamato a lot, but it'd of been better if she was more established. Oda could've had her be one of the Udon prisoners, highlight her by having someone like Hyogoro say she's been in Udon several times as punishment but always leaves after a few months. Like Kaido's grounding her.
- Remove the Oden identity and leave it at great admiration.
- Instead of Robin giving details on the strength of Orochi & Kaido, have it be Yamato who spills some information including a few safer passages into Onigashima. Have her be ashamed to mention her parentage and simply refer to herself as a child of Wano.
- Hype Zoan Awakenings (and the Calamities)
- I'd have Zoan Awakenings described a bit more. State that a Zoan Awakening is an automatic trigger that happens when a zoan user becomes very experienced. It comes in two phases, feral and controlled. So you have the Jailer Beasts who can barely control themselves when using their zoan.
- Have Ulti, Page1 and Drake appear in Act 2 and be barred from using their devil fruits because they're in the process of "Awakening" but cannot master their fruits. Their abilities would be far too destructive. Use this to retroactively hype Jack who has appeared twice so far as a zoan with no issues.
- Allows for some intrigue later on in the arc when the Tobi Roppo all get permission to use their zoans in Onigashima, highlighting the severity of the raid and allows for the "Ancient Species" chapter to be even more special with it being the big reveal for all the zoans apart from Drake's.
- Have the BMP's there at the Fire Festival, not just Perospero
- It's funny to see them fail at the Waterfall but I'd have it happen once. Smoothie, Perospero & Daifuku all act like the elite pirates they are and assemble in Onigashima.
- Let the BMP be the one's to plant the idea that Drake is a spy in Queen's head. They've been betrayed and burned by the Worst Gen before, so they point out his lack of ambition and unusual tendencies. Together, they unmask Drake and force him to switch sides.
- Perospero can use his candy DF to jam the exists to the party floor during Queen's ice oni game and Smoothie can either fight or have a stand off with Killer or Law. Doesn't have to be long, but a little conflict between the Worst Gen and a commander of the old gen before they go to the roof top.
- Have the Big Mom Pirates work in sync to command the rabble of the Beast Pirates. They're more organized, used to fighting alongside instead of against each other. They take up leadership on the lower floors as King commands the sky. Highlight Smoothie, King and Queen as the three to beat in order to get to the roof.
- Give Kaido & Big Mom better goals
- If you're introducing Rox Elements, have it be that both Kaido and Big Mom have the ultimate goal of Rox in mind, but keep trying to do it their own way. Meeting together, they decide to team up and rekindle Rox's true spirit.
- Make their goal something like a lost treasure of God Valley and strongly hint it's either a powerful devil fruit or the National Treasure that Doffy spoke of.
- Have Kaido's desire to die stem from some impactful words from Rox about embracing death. Make it something Kaido twists, just like how Big Mom twists Mother Caramel's dreams.
- Orochi & Kanjuro
- Only thing I'd change is Orochi's impact before he dies. Have a lot of the cruelty be his idea, Kaido's the enforcer and is fine with it, but it all comes from this guys head.
- Kanjuro draws the faces of dead friends to fight of the Scabbards before being killed by Kin'emon.
- Kanjuro doesn't want to die, but his obligation to his family makes death preferable over failing his cousin Orochi.
- Whitebeard
- Whitebeard finds out about the death of Oden nearly ten years after it happens and the only reason he doesn't go to Wano to kick Kaido's ass is because he's in a prolonged conflict with Big Mom. It's not an outright war but the two are raiding each other's territories and if a peace isn't reached soon, it'll lead to a bigger fight than he wants.
- By the time Whitebeard can fight Kaido, he's stricken by his disease. He's still a little hypocritical and Izo wants to free Wano, but Whitebeard says they'll need to muster more allies.
- Heavily imply that Whitebeard's next move, should Teach/Ace's fateful encounter not happen, would be to fight and kill Kaido.
- Apoo/Hawkins
- Have Hawkins do something in the earlier acts.
- Maybe Hawkins and Kamazou have a small scene together where Hawkins shows he's a little upset at how the alliance went, but is doing his best to survive. Maybe have Kamazou criticize that mentality saying that he's no better than a slave or something.
- Apoo & the Numbers are a unique position in the Beast Pirates equal to the Tobi Roppo. Have each Number be known for destroying a whole nation by itself and Apoo's music can boost their strength greatly.
What's with so many threads complaining about Oda's writing?
Only issue I have with Oda's writing is, he doesn't reveal stuff till the last moment. Always teases about stuff. Other than that, he does things correctly despite the scale. Writing flawed charecters is not easy. They are not straightforward. One piece has so many flawed characters. Cowards in higher positions. Starting with Spandam. I think it starts with Gin character. Not necessarily coward, but flawed.
imo weaker and flawed characters add more weight to the story than Superman types. There is a reason why very few superhero movies work at boxoffice. You can't flesh out the hero without the 'stupid' and 'uncool' characters mixed in. It extends to many not so exiting subplots too.
5 elders are celestial dragons. st. charlos fellow also celestial dragon. Oda could have made all of them 'cool'. Most writers will write them as single block with similar style. Oda chose to go with diverse looks. Even if 5 elders are not powerful in combat aspect, I still like their design.
Also weekly thing ruining the experience for us. I no longer feel bad about whitebeard situation. If anything, it made his character much better if we look back at the whole thing.

To much headcanon + weeakly reading, is making some of you guys dislike everything that happen in the manga, since the Time-Skip this same kind of discussion keep happening ahahahahaha
A lot of complaims seems just people mad because his favorite characters are not following his headcanon and Oda dont give a fuck about powerscaling.
Of course there's some problems with pacing in Udon and in the last 10 chapters and BM and Kaido dont seems a threat like Doffy, Lucci pra Crocodile, but this can yet change

Off the top of my head:
- Torpedo the Meme Team out of existence after WCI.
- Improve the SMILE users.
- Remove many of the side characters (Snot, Tama, the Yakuza members, etc). Scabbards would also have had fewer members.
- Have the Beast Pirates and Kaido be the deadliest adversaries yet and have them take the SHs more seriously.
- Cut down on the PIS and running.
- Show Kaido vs Moria.
- Give Zoro something else to do besides babysitting another annoying royal.
- Focus more on the SHs after Luffy was captured and have them take it more seriously instead of...what we actually got.
- No Flying Six, or at least make the group smaller, so the Supernovas could get more time to shine.
- No time travel BS, Kaido would have taken over Wano after the timeskip.
- Improve Oden or get rid of him. At least cut down on the characters gushing over him.

- Rewrite Yamato completely. Her Oden cosplay/wank is annoying and more symptomatic of a severe mental disorder than anything else. Make her more of her own character, a rebellious princess who has been working behind the scenes to undermine her father by secretly freeing his captives or supplying them with food
- For the love of god, stop dehyping the Calamities. Jack got unceremoniously offscreened and memed as a drag down. Queen overdosed on a dangerous blend of crack Cocaine and PIS during Udon, embarrassing himself against Big Meme. King has been jacking off for the entire raid, I have no idea why he is even here
- Making Kiku absolutely fucking useless for no reason during Tama’s kidnapping was pure aids. When it was revealed that she was born with a penis, her usefulness increased thousandfold somehow. Make her an actual character with individualised motives
- Show, don’t tell. Having hyped up prime Wano as being full of powerful samurai, the scabbards have been half baked for the vast majority of their screentime, with Oden carrying the entire reputation of Wano on his back. Oda never had to tell us Mihawk was strong, everything in his intro and portrayal was more than enough to cement his image in the audience’s mind. Show us more of Wano’s military might and stop harping on about it already.
