General & Others Wano had very few abandoned plot points

#61
No lol.

And no. Luffy didn't build it up. He just said what was in his mind at the time.

The narration builded up Luffy vs Kaido, not Big Mom vs Luffy.
Sure.
Luffy himself declared It at BM back in FI; he said It again, and even more explicilty, in BM's face that he would have returned to defeat her; not enought: he said It again at Katakuri at the end of their fight... but It was not a build up. Lol

Well, the scans are self explanatory anyway.

No it wasn't. Not in the narration.

For sure is less built up than Carrot joining the strawhats.
Actually .. there are plantings showing that Carrot's story is not finished in the narration.

You are right.

I mean, this is really my fault. How could I let this slip?

Clearly, since It didn't happen.
You didn't read the sacred blogposts.
You didn't check for shining nakama actions.
The prophet was right about Carrot, but Oda felt called out and weaselled his way out of having carrot join.
But it's not too late friend.

Just ignore C4N posts, it's a person with self proclaimed mental issues and as such we shouldn't exacerbate his state.

This is not a plot point, only dialogue

As Koby's words

Look, more not-narrative-driven dialogue.

Giant sword in onigashima that was presented as chekhov's gun and never amounted to anything

Zoro reuniting the samurai which would result on them eventually realizing his resemblance with ryuma

Luffy vs big mom build up

The reason why wano was important to kaido

What the hell does "opening the borders of wano" means

Wano citizens being important to Kaido's defeat

Momonosuke importance related to the "dawn"

Kaido's speech about how pirates always betray each other

Zoro's motivation to kill orochi

Zoro/ryuma parallel that quickly died after wano citizens themselves said that luffy is the new ryuma

Kokeshi dolls mystery

Reason why wano was called the City of gold

The list goes on...

Agenda piece aside, what truly got a lot of people mad is that they realized one piece is going the same way naruto went with the main character turning into omnipresent god while the rest become his cheerleaders.

1052 was the final nail in the coffin, ryuma parallel going to luffy was basically oda saying that luffy will be everything and then some.

There is no abandonned plot point in wano.

There are many panels of Kaido drinking and crying.

We never understood that nor his suicidal wishes
That's not something that needed to be explicited. Oda is always very subtle with his character arc and Kaido doesn't make an exception. Kaido is simply a broken man. Broken by what happened in the Rock Pirates. He implictly mentionned a few times how painfull it is for a pirate to be betrayed and that pirate will always betray the one they are loyal to.

The reason why Kaido and Big Mom made an alliance is specifically because Big Mom was kind to Kaido. Kaido just wanted chaos out of sadness and wanted a way to die. Luffy gave him that.

In One Piece you ALWAYS need to pay a lot of attention to the details, because Oda doesn't have time to explain everything to you, so he will show you.

Translation: you refuse to look at the several abandoned plot points posted in this thread and insist on an already proved wrong argument
I already debunked them all mate.

Luffy vs big mom build up
The fought on WCI, on the rooftop and likely will on Elbaf. He's living up to his promise

Wano citizens being important to Kaido's defeat
was this ever a plot point?

Momonosuke importance related to the "dawn"
We already know, he's supposed to bring the borders of Wano down

Kaido's speech about how pirates always betray each other
Apoo betrayed his alliance, then Kaido

Kanjuro betrayed the Scabbard

Drake betrayed Kaido

We had a bunch of betrayals throughout the arc.

Kokeshi dolls mystery
There was no mystery, they were always there to hint at Sukiyaki.

A few I didn't cover are likely also things that will be explained down the line. Imagine making this list about Enies Lobby

"Why is it always daytime"

"Why is there a hole and where does it lead to?"

"Why are there blueprints for Pluton and where is it?"

etc

Something to do with betrayal that also never got expanded on lol.

I expect rocks' defeat to have something to do with betrayal, whitebeard had the betrayal of that guy who stabbed him in marineford, big mom was betrayed/abandoned by her parents and mihawk also had a betrayal plot point dropped by oda on the last SBS so i'm expecting oda to reveal a MAJOR betrayal for EoS which could happen in the form of 2 ways:

1: Shanks will betray luffy's trust and become his final enemy

2: One of the strawhats will betray the crew which will cause the death of a crewmember

Oda doesn't have the balls to kill a strawhat imo so the most likely to happen is shanks betrayal which has been foreshadowed by his meeting with gorosei and his line about wanting to claim the one piece at the end of wano

Ah, thank you!

So basically his background. Well, anyway his suicidal attitude almost vanished in Wano.

I really, really doubt It, but if they seriously fight in Wano then there will be no problem.

Luffy literally said he would have come for her after Kaido.
