Yeah imo the narrative in Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away is much more solid than LOTR movies despite the simplicity. Ender's Game Movie has more character development, and i think Inception is much stronger overall as a fantasy movie.

...the LOTR novels have super intricate details tho. Tolkien made his own Elf language, detailed lore and creatures etc. i think thats why Tolkien is respected, due to his details and dilligence but not his bigger picture or narrative.

Because Tolkien pretty much created the fantasy genre as we know it today. The movies, albeit worse than the books and having some indeed questionable decisions (mainly as an adaptation), are too very good pieces of art in terms of casting, craftsmanship, music... They're easily peak as hard fantasy films.

Ok about the son. But aren't there way too many important characters among his fans ? Can't erase them all.

Momonosuke's only point in the plot was to make someone else the new shogun. Unfit to rule as hell, but Oda doesn't care as long as he ain't no tyrant.

Oda did a poor job at making Oden worthy of the worship he has.

Also I am very unimpressed with how Wano was made the center of the world with it being made the country from which come at the same time samurais, the poneglyphs, Seastone, the HQ of a Yonko crew and where Pluton is hidden.
