Lot of things been mistakes.
The worst part things who been actually interesting(like Oden vs Kaido battle, plot about Ryuma sword, Jack vs Inuarashi/Perospero vs Nekomamush, Kaido flashback and more things) are rushed or complete offscreen but irrelevant stuff was shown(udon,Tama plot,running, running).

Oda didn´t had a good balance.
Imagine we got 150 chapters+ and all what we got for Kaido is a half ass flashback.
Let be honest the Oda in his prime(alabasta) would finish off the arc under 70-80 chapters.

He added to much irrevant stuff and cut off relevant stuff for case.
I never saw him writing such bad as he did in Wano.

There are no arcs I have under 7/10 in One Piece, even Punk hazard or Dressrosa(this was similar to Wano but at least little more better) or Whoe Cake island because I feelt these arcs at least had a good proper writing/pacing...

Wano is maybe the only arc where I would give something between 5.5-6.5 because it is really not that good.
It has also his amazing moments, but it wont change my view in general of this arc.

I can’t give Wano more than a 4 after hearing
“The dawn will come” and“Open Wanos borders!” Continuously only for the borders to stay closed and the dawn being off screened.

Not to mention it has maybe the worst ending of any arc with “Kurozumi are made to burn” literally the ideology that put Wano in this mess in the first place showing the people of Wano learned nothing from their past.

Absolutely trash tier writing.

Oda is carried by pre time skip nostalgia and marineford.
yet he wants the finale war to be the biggest ever and fumbled wano with 20 characters.

Luffy,imu,bb and shanks probably the only ones Eos getting a fully fleshed out backstory and fight.

I think Oda's goal is for One Piece to be the worst at everything.

Wano had some really good moments, but that is overshadowed by the numerous rando characters and the Mary Sue of all Mary Sue's in Yamato. If Oda had not dragged it out for so unnecessarily long, and cut it to 2 yrs instead of freaking 4, it would have been a good arc. WCI is still the worse for me by far.

I actually love the raid. Especially after Luffy gets on the rooftop it becomes amazing. Amazing chapter after amazing chapter. Raid gave usbest Sanji fight, second best Zoro fight. Amazing fight with Kaido and BM. The arc really did emperors justice. They were force of nature. Sure it had some weak moments like ice oni stuff but we cant have peak after peak in a war arc. It needs to focus on other characters too. Like Wano gave Franky, Robin and Jinbe really good fights. Which arc has done that. Momos growth was amazing weakling to an immature leader. I like Wano and in reread it becomes better too.

I can hardly count that as a tournament.Any other Tournament is more flashed out
