Nami needing saving makes no sense considering ththe fact that her ability is to control weather. She managed to use Zeue to attack BM etc.
Hard to say whether she can control weather made of ink.

But taking aside her powers it didn't make sense for Nami to need saving when literally every other weaker Strawhat was fine. She shouldn't be useless in the face of something like this, yet she apparently was, which was apparently the catalyst for Sanji giving up the far more important task of getting Momo back.

Like I said, very clumsy.

True. Usopp was actually right beside Nami and was perfectly fine despite the ink shower. Whereas Sanji rushedand protected Nami.

If Usopp was just chilling right beside Nami without getting affected, Nami should have been fine as well.

What Oda did with Sanji make no sense. If he planned for Sanji to not rescue Momo, why make him decide on his own to go save him, reach the target, then turn back and go save Nami who would have been fine

Law not doing anything actually makes perfect sense
Using one room and a quick shambles isn't going to waste too much Energy...and they have stil to get to Onigashima first which should take some time, his Energy should Refill in that time anyways.

Also we saw Robin being Ready to use her abilty, why didn't she just judo-throw his ass in to the water?
And Luffy saying i will save you later is just the dumbest Thing ever...like wtf?!
This whole Situation makes no sense.

Kanjuro’s escape was fine. Most people were still under the initial shock of him being the traitor so he still had that advantage. Considering how well he can actually draw, it’s not surprising
What I can’t stand is ALL that shithead Momo does is cry, blubber about his legacy & get kidnapped yet the Wano people eat it up
:lusalty:
Kaido shoulda just spiked Momo off Oden Castle like a football

And it would be actively out of character for Kid to give a fuck.

The problem was the Strawhats. Sanji was the one who decided to go after him, okay, that makes sense. He's much stronger than Robin and better in the air than her, and to be frank it's better that Sanji fails in base than Luffy fails in G4. And the result was always going to be failure. I don't think there should be any complaints about Sanji being the one Oda chooses to mount the rescue. Plus the intervention of anyone outside Luffy, Sanji or Robin leads to Momo plummeting to his death- what good is sniping the guy holding Momo out of the sky going to do?

But the cloud didn't seem all that threatening. And Sanji seemed pretty close to Kanjuro. Making his apparent decision to run back to cover Nami a very stupid one, not helped by the fact the panel of him covering Nami seems to be a gag one.

What Oda should have done imo was show that the clouds produced gales of wind that blew Sanji back, or covered a much bigger area. Give an actual reason for Sanji not being able to get after Momo other than apparently choosing to give up while he was almost there and run back to cover Nami.

Not a case of catastrophically bad writing, but very clumsy.
If Law has excuse of saving stamina, then Luffy too because he is going to fight Kaido soon.

But hey let's use Gear 4 and Room on some random fodder ship.
The Scabbards completely forgot the main reason why Oden got wrecked in the war 20 years ago... Momo being used as a hostage (a fake one to be fair). And Luffy forgot how fucking hard to fight in a war with a hostage. :whitepress:

This is even worse than the Gazelle dude abducting Tama who was under Luffy and Zoro's care at the beginning of this arc.
Both equally worse tbh.
Biggest priority was to save Momo
Not to Sanji.

Because Oda had it going to end in failure from start. Momo had to be kidnapped at this point in story.

Depends if Law thinks it's worth thr trouble or not. It's in his character to not use Raw unnecessarily, given it had to be pretty big room before biggest fight of his life.

Agreed.
Plus what use was FS here.
