General & Others Was One Piece Ever The Same For You After Post Time Skip?

I dont think many people dispute the prime piece was pretimeskip and fans were both afraid and excited for a timeskip.
Though One Piece was pretty much a constantpleasurable experience.

I would say right after the timeskip up until the nosebleeds i was enjoying one piece really the entire arc was enjoyable especially because we thought such muxh of the strawhat dynamic was going to unfold. When Luffy threathened big mom i thought Oda was still in his bag.

Usopp and Sanji were my favorite characters before the timeskip
Now its Dragon, Robin, Kuma, and Koby.
Its clear that the way some of the SHs have changed and gotten reverse growth have changed how I feel about the story overall.

I feel similar. Pretimeskip I didnt have a favorite Strawhat except Usopp. They were all so well balanced and well written. Eaxh contributed so much and were interestijg characters in their own right. Now i clearly have favorites but dont really like any of then except the middle trio as they've changed the least and are still true to their original design.

At least in FI everybody had their own fights. Usopp still hasnt been in a real 1v1 since fishman island let that sink in. That was 14 years ago.
the shs werent all getting 1v1s in pre ts arcs either. Usopp and Chopper had to share one in Alabasta, usopp didnt do shit in skypea and sanji had to share a fight with luffy. in TB Franky and Robin didn't do much, and Nami had to share her fight with Sanji.

Im just talking about fishman island being better than dressrosa and punkhazard. As you can tell by my signature i thi j dressrosa was the worst arc in one piece.

The problem with Usopp is that being a Sniper is naturally a support role, he really should have been a sniper/specialist hybrid with the dials. It's really been more prevalent after the timeskip that Usopp is meant to be support going forward.

The arcs are longer and the straw hats are stronger but it's more or less the same thing. I would say pre TS was a bit more adventures oriented but I think the change happened in Sabaody rather than after the TS.

It feels much better after the Gear 5 reveal.

I hate weak MCs that rely on luck to win.

You can see he loses to the villain first in almost every arc, and it doesn't make sense that the villain spares his life.

And it always requires a plot to save him.

If not much, it's okay, but what the heck, it's almost every arc repeating that cycle.

My 2 favorite arcs were Dressrosa and Whole cake island so I cant complain on quality.

Part 1 had all Straw hats backstories covered thats what made it so good.

It was a bit the same up to Zou. We still had a good focus in the whole crew although Sanji not getting 1v1 fights to the end bothered me. To imagine Sanji last 1v1 fight to the end was Jabra before Queen that is an immense amount of time.

Also Usopp not getting 1v1 fights ever again. Nami too. Robin up to Wano.

Post timeskip became what Boruto and DBS is. Heavy focus on 2 protagonists only. Luffy and Zoro.

I rhink that was part of the appeal of One Piece. Luffy wasnt weak and trying to become strong he was a monster and his opponents were the ones trying to close the gap. It wasnt until crocodile that he fought someone of his own absolute level but when it came down to the brawl Luffy pulled out the win. Enis lobby is reallly the Arc where things started to get sheisty and not so consitent.

It was very interestinf at the time because all of cp9 combined couldnt have taken enel but pushed the crew so much further. Though by the time thrillerbark happened i was wondering how gekko moriah slapped away luffy's punch when we've seen luffy damn near capable of moving moutains. Even in east blue Luffy could punch through a boulder like it was made of a single sheet of paper. That's some shit we'd see like kid gohan do.

Or Akainu getting up after the island splitting punch of whitebeard. Even luffy vs crocodile you coukd say Luffy was damn near strong enough pick up a large ship and when he hit crocodile he would bleed. You can think ok maybe crocodile is really durable but he is coughing up blood. Luffy vs Kaidou made no sense. If your not good at writing battkes it make sense to have it as a slug out where we can see the damage acruing.
