Oda now writes her as a character that Brooke would absolutely recognize when it's 100% clear he didn't.

Brook died 52 years ago. We have no idea if Shakky was that beautiful and was sailing with Kuja at that time. Roger was 25 at the time Brook first died, so it makes sense he might have heard his name as a Rookie.
