Character Discussion WB was one of odas best characters but every flashback he makes him worse and more retarded

As I said back in Naruto manga times some characters are best to remain legend and not show them at all after. At start they got introduced as epic / legendary character which hypes them as something special within universe . Then actual time comes when we see more of them and that legendary character gets ruined, because the more you reveal about him the more he ends up being common like others and not that special like when first introduced.
Whitebeard is best example of this , the more of flashback we got bigger the damage done to Whitebeard character reputation. Losing his aura as being Xebec underling won in Davy Jones fight , running from Garp which ruined his reputation established in marineford and finally losing all his braincells for not being able to recognise something was wrong with his captain and leaving him to die when he needed him the most.

Oda hit the absolute peak of the story and characterisation with Marineford and Whitebeard . It fits that the story and Whitebeard's charcterisation become an Icarian tragedy after that, its only downhill from here. So many characters have experience flanderisation and OOC assassination over the post TS too, it's frustrating as hell.
(I do enjoy a lot of post TS, I'm just being somewhat facetious too.)

I've said this before, but WB would have been better off as a third distant legend who was never involved with Rocks and Roger, and only became Roger's rival post GV.
As for Oden, I've heard that Oda previously planned to have Kaido invade Wano after WB died. Which imo is way better than what was done in canon.
