I've made tons of threads and posts explaining the similarities, counterparts, parallelism between WCI and Wano but lemme still refresh your mind :
Purpose and Benchmarks :
*WCI was about skilled fighters with Great haki mastery (Cracker has great CoO and CoA while Kata had greater CoA and FS)
-Unlocking FS and using Speed mode to counter Katakuri's skills
-Surpassing the Strongest Commander alive was the goal of Luffy.
*While Wano is about Physical Monsters with Super physical stats
-Unlocking AdCoA and using Power Mode to counter Kaido's dura and physical strength, the Strongest Emperor and Character alive.
-Luffy already matched Ray, now Oden is the bechnmark, Oden who's the strongest Commander and Underling ever.
Characters :
Kaido and BM are the Main 2 to handle like how BM and Katakuri were at WCI,
Queen is Perospero, having more focus than people stronger than him :
Kaido have Queen important task to break Kidd and Luffy, just like BM gave Perospero the most important task to kill Vinsmokes in order to get Germa Tech forever.
King is in the background as Smoothie plays second fiddle to Pero and Daifuku
Hiyori is just another Pudding but for Zoro, with Enma being RS equivalent
Saving the Prince : Sanji and Momo
Tea party : Fire festival
1. The most important figures enter the stage : Katakuri and Yamato
While Katakuri was the enemy at first and was defending his family, Yamato is straight up friendly with Luffy and wanna defeat her dad.
*Yonko Olin also gets introduced*
2. Alliance attempts :
Capone and ceasar made a rocket to strike Linlin at her lowest where her durability is broken due to mental breakdown
Retainers made a plan and striked Kaido at his lowest where he was drunk and had PTSD thus he couldn't defend well was againsy Retainers Ryouu.
Capone and Vinsmokes are the only ones that BM and Katakuri (the 2 Main fighters of the arc) wrecked personally badly.
Same thing will happen here, Retainers and Minks will lose badly to Kaido, One Supernova will protect the alliance but ends up wrecked, I suspect Law.
4. The whole alliance got trashed in seconds
BM and Kaido will hand SNs, Marco and everyone Ls soon and act 3 will end
And if you wonder how they will survived, Navy will show up as Tamatebox explosion.
The finale :
Luffy vs Kaido will happen in another location : Wano Capital
Same way Kata vs Luffy was in different location : Mirror world

Oda will break the legend around Kaido as he broke Katakuri legend.
Even if Luffy doesn't beat fresh or hybrid Kaido, it doesn't matter as long as the world sees Kaido loses 1 v 1, that's it.
Just like Luffy barely matched Base Kata where kata didn't lose cause Luffy punch was strong but rather his ambition, same way Kaido is the one who will recognize Luffy to be worthy to enter Yonko level.
(Kidd, Yamato, Law and Navy will play a huge role in weakening both Yonko.
Kidd and Luffy vs Kaido and BM... I'll write that later. It's no coincidence that both parties have 2 CoC users.)
Oda stripped away Mogura and Awakening (Kata used Awakening only twice when he propelled himself during Diced Mochi), Kaido will not have his Club and hybrid vs Luffy.
This way Luffy gets to be FA level or equal Shanks (who's equal to Base Rocks) but doesn't surpass/equal full powered Rocks and Roger yet, this will happen vs Teach.
WCI had Luffy beating 2 commanders , Wano Has Luffy beating 2 Yonko.
WCI feats led Luffy to be Yonko candidate, Wano will make Luffy Yonko level.
After beating Katakuri, there was no bigger threat left except Yonko,
After beating Kaido and BM, no bigger threat than Kaido or BM exist except EoS Teach and Imu.
I will write about Oden, Katakuri and Kaido soon...these 3 have a lot in common.
