General & Others WCI Plot Hole?

#1
In my re-marathoning of the series I'm halfway through WCI and a realization hit me. After Sanji says he wants to save his family, did it HAVE to be a huge public save? Like at that point, they still have Brulee, and everyone except Sanji and Luffy is in the mirror world. Why couldn't they just, pop in to the mirrors of the Vinsmoke family rooms, Luffy does his usual forced grab, ask questions later (we know he could overpower them easily), and drag them into the mirrors.

Reiju can back Sanji's story up, along with Jinbe, to explain the plot about to go down, then they all escape through mirrors to their respective ships and gtfo out of there before afternoon?

But Germa isn't getting out of the mirrors without Brulee, and they can't beat Luffy. They could find a mirror where plans are still going on, or kidnap pudding and make her spill, or so many things with the mirrors since no one can get into the dimension unless they have the fodder sibling.

Also, Jinbe's word wouldn't be enough? I don't think Germa at that point knew he switched sides.

They needed Germa to know they were in danger first.

Reiju was ready for them all to die
None of Sanjis brothers would trust Sanjis words (I doubt they’d trust reijus)
If there’s even a shred of doubt, Judge will order the immediate death of Zeff.

Basically they needed it to be public to guarantee Zeffs life

When you think about it....all they did was stop BM's childish scheme which she wanted to succeed. That's all, no one was really saved. They left them as is, situation was still the same. They(SHs) could have gone away easily without doing all that too with fewer casualties... I mean germa ran away anyway without any casualty. Like Sanji said he wanted to save his family thats why they stayed in and executed a counter plan. But...the thing is they just stopped BM's childish scheme not the threat itself. Why did Sanji go? Apparently there was a threat to Zeff...and that was still there when they ran away it just did not happen. :milaugh:
It has a lot of weird stuff. It just hides them.

But based on how it was planned out and how it happened, there were variables that no one expected.

Like Pudding says the plan is to shoot Sanji at the kiss when he backs away in apall at her eye and then after that execute the Vinsmokes.

The crew had the expectation of that, yet when Sanji is 'shot' in reality, Judge doesn't know what's going on. He hears the gunfire but asks what's happening, and isn't betrayed till panels later. So had the crew's plan went right, Judge wouldn't have saw he was being betrayed.

Backed up by the fact Sanji is later shown to say 'that it wasn't how it was supposed to be, when he hears Judge yell out after they're entrapped by candy guy (forget how to spell his name.) If that wasn't how it was supposed to be, that hints they were trying to get to them BEFORE the betrayal.

So if before the betrayal they wouldn't believe him either way, why did it have to go public?

If they take the Vinsmoke away, what stops them from going back later?
Reiju cant back sanji up because pudding altered her memory. She just believed what sanji told her.

Yeah, nvm Reiju. But there was Jinbe who they didn't know was on Luffy's side yet but worked for BM. Then there was Pekoms. Pekoms was only against the assasination part of the plot, he was indebted to Sanji and would probably spill about the betrayal if asked to. There's also kidnapping Pudding and forcing it out of her before fleeing. What I'm saying is they could have dragged them into mirror world with witnesses and told them what was being planned to go down, and escape with mirrors before it happened.

The witnesses being the proof.

I dont think it would work because it would depend on Judge giving up his dream of conquering the north blue and believing in some "setup" by sanji (in his eyes).

I guess. I just feel like even though mirror-dimension was over-used to a point, it was under-used in its capability. It had so many ways it could have been utilized to make everything easier.

EDIT: Like making a fake Sanji to get shot in the wedding while the real one hid with the others to be nearer to saving them.

If that happened then there will be no story. And there were a lot more inconsistency in WCI. You can choose any subplot of WCI and there will be things that scratch your head like Kingbaum. Kingbaum listens to Nami because she has a vivre card but goes against Big Mom orders because well just because..

If they used a fake Sanji, katakuri would immediately see through it.
