Questions & Mysteries Were the Whitebeard Pirates capable of rescuing Ace at Impel Down or not ?

Do you think that instead of risking everything and sacrifying without a doubt many of his "sons" just to rescue Ace at Marineford with him being defended by the elite of the Navy, 100 000 soldiers and several Warlords Whitebeard and his crew and allies couldn't have just tried to rescue him inside Impel Down like Luffy tried to do with Hancock's help ?

Were the Whitebeard Pirates and their allies really unable of helping him there or did they have the means to try a rescue mission ? If yes what plan could have they made to rescue Ace inside Impel Down ? Who could have gone to Impel Down ?

I guess it wouldnt been possible. Whitebeard must have known that most of his moves are known by the marines, not necessary in detail, but if he would go for Impel Down, it would have been known.
So Whitebeard would directly go into a closed area, also go way deep into the sea, where his abilities are nearly useless, in worst case only suicidal for his whole crew. He only would have trapped himself there.

After all Whitebeard himself had family as his top reason for becoming what he became. It was a very special bond.

Going to Impel Down would've been a suicide, much worst than MF

Facing Magellan in an enclosed and narrow environment is insanely dangerous even for WB and WB wouldn't be able to make advantage of his allies here because of that. It would come down to WB going down with a few commanders maybe like Marco, Jozu etc. facing Magellan while his crew and allies wait outside and try to stop the marines (who would've been already informed by then) from entering. Not a good idea for WB to do even if he frees Ace and exits Impel Down, outside would wait the entirety of marine HQ with the 3 admirals etc. and all of his crewmates and allies would be destroyed by the time he comes out.

I feel like he could have just told Marco to fly to Impel Down and rescue Ace solo

There is logic and the needs of the story. Anyway I guess that could have worked better for the WB pirates as they didn't step in the battlefield the marines created to resist them so if they "sneak attacked" it I guess the majority of the WB pirates would have stayed outside to defend the position while a small elite group went in to save Ace. On the other hand Magellan or some other guard could have easily killed Ace while the whole action was in motion.

The perfect man for this would be somebody like Morley but he is a revo and also maybe with coo you can sense him, let's see how the Sabo rescue oepration went. Then of course WB can't simply crash Impel down, that would kill Ace, but maybe can crash Aokiji's ice and every ship that is approaching Impel down. Also since the WB pirates held the initiative maybe the navy schemes to greatly weaken WB before thefight so that they had a chance to win could have failed and so have a very different battle (one in which WB doesn't start with a 2 m swords piercing his whole body).
