I've never touched Sekiro, but from what I can gather deflecting mechanism is the main combat focus there. I got spoiled by the final fight and couldn't believe how beautiful the final boss movement was.

I will hopefully start it later.
yeah it's peak
there's like 3 different versions of the final boss. So you can still experience peak without having been spoiled

(I've already been mauled a little by a gator and had them trying to almost invade my base tent and chase me around lmao.)

Some quick info on it:

Dinkum is an open-world survival and town-building game set in a fictional environment inspired by the Australian outback.

The game begins with your character leaving the densely populated South City to establish a new life on a remote island. Upon arrival, you meet Fletch, who guides you in setting up the Base Tent, your personal tent, and the Visitor's Site. These initial steps lay the foundation for developing a thriving community on the island.

Regarding character mortality, Dinkum does not feature aging or death from old age, unlike Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Instead, the game focuses on health and stamina mechanics. Your character can lose health from dangers like wildlife attacks and stamina from overexertion. If health is depleted, you pass out and wake up at your house the next day, losing 10% of your carried currency (Dinks). Similarly, exhausting your stamina results in passing out and a 10% loss of Dinks. To prevent this, it's essential to monitor these bars and replenish them by consuming food.

So far, I'm really enjoying, it's extremely relaxing, feel good, wholesome, cute etc. Very similar to MySims, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon etc.

I'm also near the end of Tomb Raider 1 on the new 1-3 Remastered Trilogy and despite some major issues, I'm in love with it and really enjoying it too. I picked up the newly released 4-6 Remastered Trilogy too and can't wait to try that after this one, especially Angel of Darkness.

My experience with the game in a nutshell:
