Character Discussion What are your thoughts on the Gorosei ?

What are your impressions and opinions about the Gorosei ever since their first appearance around Skypeia arc, and especially with their large presence since the Reverie, the reveal of Imu, and their direct confrontation with the Straw Hats in Egghead Arc ?

How much do you like or dislike the group and its members ? Who's your favorite and least favorite of them ?

Also what are your thoughts on how they have been handled in this arc, and how they first encountered the Straw Hats, and Robin in particular with them having ordered the destruction of Ohara ?

Wish they didn't show up. Saturn was enough for a good fight and then maybe run away but now they have to be clowned by everybody.

Ever since their inception they seemed like huge pieces of shit.

I do not have any strong feeling towards the group. They are part of the factions that are bad so I view them as villans.
This over the top "omg they are so genocidal and enslave people" thing does not work on me. They are typical shitty people to me.
I do not have a favorite or least favorite. They all suck equally and I care little if they are kept in the story or disappear.

They have been handled stangely. Not sure why Oda chose to introduce new abilities that prevent taking damage.
Robin throwback is the same point as before. I already think they suck. There is no need to rub it in.
I think it is stupid to reveal now that they are actual capable fighters. Which is debatable. They have not defeated anyone of really accomplished anything. Lets just pretend they are strong.
Why did they never bother to use their power before then? They had ample of reason to do so. Why now? And why now all of them at once?
I just hope its not going to be some bullshit reason like when Oden decided to yolo on the PK ship instead of helping Wano.

I like them outside of the wretched vacuum of the One Piss fandom. I agree with almost every single writing decision Oda has made with them during the Egghead arc. If they didn’t become a rallying cry for stupid ass Admiral haters, we could all enjoy them together. Lol

They are certainly enjoyable as a group, the fans perception is what ruined their image
Gorosei are meant to be seen as a bunch of powerful old cretins with some considerable hax abilities that function as a group to deal with any crisis that threatens the WG’s prosperity, they were never meant to be seen as normal top tiers.

I think Oda got bored of the manga. He wants live action fame.

I don't see anything wrong with the elders.

Their portrayal has been good and what was expected.

A Yonkou needed help from others to take down two of them or send them flying. I don't know how this make them pathetic? Lol

Two of them are fighting advanced tech.

Everyone struggled to even damage them. Tanked every shit without batting an eye.

They were good.

My only compliant would be all 5 elders were not necessary. 2 or max 3 would have done a better job here.

With the exception of Saturn, the Gorosei for the most part have been fine.

Most of the downplay for them is just dumb and it's just from some people who like to ignore basic plot and storytelling.

There's no interesting dialogue from any of them this arc.

I was actually a bit excited when they were first summoned to Egghead because I did not see that coming at all. Oda went ahead to bungle it though. What should be a tense climactic chase turned into a drawn out mess of laughing giants, Nika nonsense and puzzling treatment.

I’ve just come to expect that the ending of every arc will be a mess now.

I like the gorosei but not a big fan on how oda handled them
