Reasons and clear foreshadowed for this:
- BB is the embodiment of darkness and specifically a black hole. A black hole destroys planets and stars/suns. It represents the dusk. The end of the sun. The destruction of the Gorosei(Five planet elders) and the sun god nika luffy.
- A black hole is born from the death of a Star. This represents the life cycle of Rocks will. A star to a black hole.
Rocks died blackbeard was born from him metaphorically. A Star dies and a blackhole was born from him
Worlds and planets are born from the Supernova of Stars. Rocks ambition was to become King of the World. It aligns perfectly with his planetary ambition to control the world. He would have the power to control and create worlds, stars, Meteors, aurora etc.
