What could possibly decide the two former captain of the Giant Pirates to finally put an end or at least pause to their absurd fight and to finally go home ?

It cannon but it doesnot stop them to fight. They still fighting with barehand as it shown in a cover story IIRC

Hajrudin came to little garden, beat them? and make them join to help SH

Oimo and Kashi, who know them best, said there's no point going to the island unless the fight is finished. Until then, they ain't going anywhere.

They are still punching each others as far as we know. But I suspect that either the New Giant Pirates will call them to Elbaf/Final War, or something will happen which will force them to go to Elbaf.
