Character Discussion What do you guys think of Kaido so far?

Kaido surely wasn't born that way. For a character that was buildup as the main antagonist for like 10 years you would at least expect a FB of his childhood, showing us what made him the person he is. Honestly, I feel like Kaido's and BM's popularity has a lot to do with how Oda is trying to rush them out of the story
He most likely will get a flashback, but I still would prefer him more as a one dimensional villain. Complexity isn't always good depending on character. But regardless I don't think that would help a popularity poll when people could vote as many times as they wanted in incognito mode.

Beautiful, elegant, friendly, and too CHAD, strong, intelligent, strategist, a born leader, he still likes to drink with his subordinates and party, knows stories and makes expeditions.
He turns into a dragon and goes for a walk drunk.
He likes to play from 10,000 meters in height.

I think he's probably the worst Antagonist in OP. Despite having a 10+ year worth of buildup for this showdown he's a massive disappointment and embarrassment. Luffy had a harder time trying to become YC level against Katakuri than he had trying to become Yonko level against Kaido.

Hell, even his ranking in the polls says more than enough.

Hot damn, was this the most recent popularity poll? Lol.

Whether you like or dislike him it's unquestionable that Oda had all the story resources to make him ×10 times more enjoyable. What's worse than Oda's poor characterization are those who make an excuse because "Oda's in rush to end Wano" ignoring that Kaido's role has been the overarching antagonist of the entire post timeskip narrative. Oda has never bothered to flesh out his character and instead, introduced an Oden dick sucking backstory that contributed nothing at all to Kaido's character, even worsened it.
