I guess scale if you can count that as a positive. A lot of pre-TS is predicated on the idea that Oda can manage the scale of his story when everything starts to come together. Imo that scale of meta narrative that involves the major characters (Yonko, WG/CP, Marines, Shichibukai, Supernova, etc) is still unrivaled and how he's woven all of those characters into each arc is great.

What isnt is the sheer number of arc related characters beyond this lol, but I guess islands need inhabitants so what are you gonna do

I think how he's moved on from Kaido/BM and to Bonney/Kuma/VP/Blackbeard /Shanks/ Kizaru/Sentoumaru/Gorosei, etc. For Egghead is what worked for me. What isnt is adding 9 VAs that did nothing the entire arc and Serephim and Lucci/Kaku/Stussy and Dorry/Broggy/Oimo/Kaashi. Thats where it starts to lose me but again, I get it. You create the problem of having a million characters, you want to use them and end their plots.

The flashbacks have been way better. Law, Kuma, Chadbec, even that short Senor Pink one were all peak. The hate is also overblown, people just have nostalgia glasses on. If you actually compare the arcs side by side, the writing hasn’t dropped much at all. I’d argue that post-ts has more hype moments and more complex ideas, it’s just the execution and pacing that miss sometimes.

Post-TS does:

1. Flesh out characters that weren't given enough time to do that in Pre-TS (like Shanks, Doflamingo, Law, Gorosei)

2. Power Progression: The amount of strength that Straw Hats gained already puts them very high in the hierarchy. In Pre-TS almost every notable pirate could have taken them down, they were just lucky a lot of times with plot working to their favor. Now even Nami is a reliable fighter thanks to Zeus.

3. Explain the mysteries that were planted in Pre-TS. Sure it did take long, but recently we have been learning more and more about the history of OP's world. More than ever before.

I think the world building has leveled up. I am usually excited for flashbacks, especially now in the endgame where Oda doesn't need to hold back as much.
And some fights are really good.
But other than that, post time skip has been lacking the sense of adventure and comedy of pre time skip.

Idk, for all of its faults, i find post TS far more rereadable. Probably because of all of the revelations and payoff from characters returning and having their plots addressed.

Sometimes Oda's writing suprises me. Kuma and Bonney are obvious makings a pre-planned plot for years and it worked. Similarly, the Reverie stuff and how it played out was also very surprising given what happened. Cobra actually dying raises some semblance of stakes in the story. There are elements of Wano I enjoy more than any other arc (but the same goes the other way).

"He laughed" is still the most chilling spread Oda has drawn in this story.
